When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I returned from my trip to Canada, I felt that I was on top of the world. When I printed my photos, I guess what I thought or felt about myself didn’t match the pictures, so I decided to change that.
What made you decide to lose weight?
It’s been a constant struggle throughout my life. I’ve always been known as the fat kid. One day I just woke up and thought that I deserved to feel good about myself.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
My vacation photos from 2003 were the cause of the lifestyle change.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
It was motivating myself to do this for me. There were many times when I wanted to quit, but I keep asking myself, “do you want to be fat forever?”

5 years and going! I am always food conscience.

I am a lot happier about myself and I am more confident when I meet people.

Weight loss tip #1:
Learn to love yourself. That way you won’t quit on yourself.
Weight loss tip #2:
Set realistic goals. Don’t overdo it by planning to workout everyday.
Weight loss tip #3:
Food plays a major role in weight loss. Eat enough so you’re not hungry.
Weight loss tip #4:
Don’t depend on others. It’s fine to workout with a buddy, but don’t depend on them to workout with you every time.

Play mind games on yourself. Torment yourself knowing that you’ll see a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
