Matthew’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I have always been overweight since kindergarten. So, it’s been about 15 years.

What made you decide to lose weight?
After I could not buckle a seat belt on a roller coaster.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Changing eating habits. Instead of eating a Ho Hos (cream-filled cakes), I would replace them with a granola bar.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
The temptation to eat bad foods.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
After losing 30 pounds the first thing I noticed was a skinnier face.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took 1.5 years.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
1 year. I maintain my weight loss with a healthy lifestyle while making exercise my best friend.

What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
Looking at old pictures of myself.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
My overall self-confidence has increased. I can do anything I want to.

Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
It takes time and doesn’t happen overnight. YOU have to WANT it!

Seeing other weight loss stories gave me the confidence. Anyone can lose weight, even myself.

Matthew’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

Breakfast:
matthew-w-weight-loss-story-3Eggs, peanut butter, and yogurt.

Lunch:
Baked chips, salad, tuna fish and flavored water.

Dinner:
Salad (romaine lettuce) with grilled and seasoned chicken, cucumbers and corn (you can use any type of vegetable). I also eat protein bars for dinner sometimes.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruit. Baked chips. Tons of chicken and tuna.

Nutritional Supplements:
I currently do not take any supplements. I did it all natural!

Matthew’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
I do P90X with cardio and weight training every day.

Cardiovascular:
I run 3 miles a day. On Saturdays, I do a speed mile run. I go from 14 minutes to 6.5 minutes per mile!
