When did you become unhappy with your weight?
A few years after the birth of my first son.
What made you decide to lose weight?
I was so depressed. I was tired of being a mom with no energy. I asked my Dr. to give me something to make me lose weight and he told me to join WW’s. I was like yea right at first..you pay for me to go…..but 1 week later I made the call.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Started paying attention to what and how much I was eating. Went to my meetings every week to make myself accountable for what I had done. The most important thing I think was I had to put myself first and a mom and wife 2nd.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Cooking for my husband,my children, and myself. Not having to cook separate meals was a big issue for me. Changing my bad eating habits.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
A few weeks.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
December of 2003.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I have a better relationship with God. I actually know I am worthy. I am a member of my choir…I don’t mind getting up in front of people anymore or having my picture taken. I am more active. I exercise and play with my boys like I did when I was a teenager. I felt better at 33 than I did when I was 23.

Weight loss tip #1:
Know that you are worth something.
Weight loss tip #2:
Track your daily food intake
Weight loss tip #3:
Do some type of exercise even if it is just walking to the mailbox or to the top of the mall parking lot.
Weight loss tip #4:
Make your trip in the grocery store around the edges as much as possible , try to stay away from the middle. Too many bad choices.
Weight loss tip #5:
If you don’t buy it , you won’t eat it.
Nacasha’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
2 Uncle Wally blueberry muffins, oatmeal and a cup of milk…or 2 egg whites, spinach, onions, mushrooms, 1 slice of toast and milk.
2 drumsticks, mustard greens, baked potato & a chocolate popsicle for dessert.
Grilled fish or chicken, or steak…steamed rice, steamed broccoli, a small dinner roll.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Protein bar, frozen grapes (they last longer), graham cracker with either peanut butter or frozen cool whip.

I walk outside 2-4 miles 2-3 times a week and when it rains I walk on my treadmill.
