    Nancy’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I was overweight in school, starting about my junior high years.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I decided to lose weight when I saw myself in pictures. I couldn’t even stand to look at myself in the mirror.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
My first step was to find a TOPS group. (Take Off pounds sensibly). I had lost weight going to TOPS before. So, I found a TOPS group in my town, I had to weigh in every Tuesday night. I started watching my portion sizes, I started barbecuing or using my George foreman, instead of frying food. I watched my carbs and I quit drinking pop. I walked 2 miles a day.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
The hardest part about losing weight was when I would hit a plateau and then go to a party and there would be lots of yummy looking food there!

How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started seeing results about in about 2 months.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
I started losing weight January 3rd 2006 and I reached my goal January 16th 2007.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I have maintained my weight for almost 8 months now.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I have so much energy. I feel really good about myself and I love all the attention that I get.
