    Robert’s Weight Loss Story!

When did you become unhappy with your weight?
I really became unhappy with my weight back in 2008 when I started to see that my 42″ waist pants were getting too tight for me and I had to start buying 44″ waist pants. It made me want to change my life around.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I decided to lose weight back in 2008. I’ve always been kind of chunky and I wanted to see how I looked as a skinny person and I got tired of the way I looked. I was just unsatisfied with myself.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
The most important change I did to lose weight was changing the way I ate and I stayed consistent with my workouts. I set a plan and stuck to it. I burned 1,000 to 2,000 calories a day on the treadmill, worked on other body parts using the machines in the gym and ate healthy which consisted of consuming 3-5 nutrient dense meals a day.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
The most challenging part to losing the weight was sticking to it everyday. It’s a mental thing, so waking up everyday presented a new challenged. I had to stay motivated and remain focused until my goal was achieved.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
It took me 2 months before I started seeing results. I looked at a before picture of me and noticed the immediate difference.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me a year to reach my weight loss goal of 70 pounds lost. I never planned on how much to lose, I just knew from the start that I wanted to lose weight. I ended up peaking out at a total weight loss of 70 pounds!

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I have maintained my weight loss for 4 years now and it feels great. I do it by surrounding myself with people who stay positive and who are motivated about this subject matter like myself. I started my own weight loss social network on my website to surround myself with people who I can inspire and can also keep me inspired as well. I stay focused and remain motivated, taking it day by day to keep the weight off. So far, it has worked. I look at older pictures of myself as a reminder not to ever go back to that again.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
My life has changed dramatically. I feel more energetic and people around me have become inspired by what I’ve done. It has allowed me to motivate them and help to change their lives. People respect me more now and look up to me when it comes to weight loss. To some people, I have become their weight loss hero. I don’t feel sluggish or self-conscience about myself. I feel great, I feel younger than I really am. My inner body feels pure, my metabolism is great and my confidence level has shot through the roof!

Eat 3-5 healthy meals a day with no fried foods, fast food or pork.

    Weight loss tip #4:
Surround yourself with people who are positive and motivating.

    Weight loss tip #5:
Burn at least 500-1,000 calories a day, 4-5 days a week.

    Robert’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

    Breakfast:
Orange juice, 1.5 liters of water, sometimes coffee, 3 slices of turkey bacon or 3 links of turkey sausage, toast, and 1 boiled egg.

    Lunch:
1.5 liters of water and Mcdonald’s southwest grilled chicken salad with extra tortilla chips, extra grilled meat and 1-2 tablespoons of southwest dressings, 1 chocolate chip cookie from Mcdonald’s as a treat and one orange. If I don’t eat the salad meal then I have a bowl of corn flakes and an orange.

    Dinner:
Greens, cabbage, steak, grilled chicken, grilled fish, corn, rice, vegetables, broccoli, green peas, mixed cooked vegetables, meatloaf (very rare), pasta.

    Snacks or Mini Meals:
Gummi candies such as gummi bears, gummi twisters, Starbursts, jelly beans, Mike and Ikes.

    Robert’s Weight Loss Workouts!

    Weight Training:
I train 2 sets of body parts every other day. For example, I will do legs and chest one day, stomach and arms the next day. I lift weights lightly. I gear my body to look more lean than having the super muscular look.

    Cardiovascular:
The treadmill is my main source for cardio. I burn about 1,000 to 2,000 calories a day, 4 to 5 days a week on the treadmill. I run about 6-7 miles in one hour. Overall, I run about 150+ miles a month and burn 25,000 to 30,000 calories a month on average. I know this may not sound normal but this is the type of training I do, I’m a marathoner so I have to do this type of exercising.
