When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I reviewed pictures from a photo shoot.
What made you decide to lose weight?
When I decided that if it was going to be, than it was up to me. I decided to lose the weight because as a wellness coach I wanted to make sure that not only that I am providing my clients with useful information but also that I am being a model of good health for them.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
What was most challenging about losing weight?
The most challenging part about losing weight was seeing everyone I had grown up with. They loved to call me “Fat Boy” which was my former nickname. So when I first started losing weight, it made it a little difficult because every time I would fail in my attempt to stay consistent at it, those who knew me as “Fat Boy” would accept my failure as being acceptable. After all, I was “Fat Boy”.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started seeing results within the first couple of weeks in terms of my energy levels and mental alertness.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me one year to reach my current weight.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I have maintained my current weight loss for over a year now and I have done it by becoming a wellness coach which helps to keep me focused and I also follow a good nutritional diet.
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I’m way more energetic and I have a lot more self-confidence which is causing me to land many more modeling gigs.

Breakfast:

Roland’s Weight Loss Workouts!
Weight Training:
I do 30 minutes of weight training 3-5 days a week.
Cardiovascular:
I do 15 minutes of cardio 3-5 days a week. This doesn’t include Saturdays where I instruct a Fit Club for 1 hour and this consists of a variety of different cardio exercises.
