Stephany’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I started working full-time. I felt that I was dragging all this extra baggage around. I have a very active job and my weight was very restricting to me. A few people in my office had been working at reducing their weight and it was working. I knew that it was time for me to find a program that would work for me!
What made you decide to lose weight?
The total discomfort with myself, both physically and mentally.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Once I started to lose weight, I joined a local gym. I’ve been going ever since (1 year) Monday through Friday and sometimes on the weekends. I love it! I wish I discovered this wonderful feeling of freedom years ago!
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Keeping myself in check. Having to monitor everything I eat and keeping my calories and exercise routine in check can be difficult.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
A month or so.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I just started to maintain my weight. I use the Opti-Fast system whenever I need to. Going to the gym and really working hard is a tremendous part of my maintenance plan!
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I can’t even begin to tell you. I have energy that I didn’t think is possible. I’m always on the go. My husband and kids just love the new me. I’ve been having so much fun being the passenger on my friend’s Harley Davidson motorcycles. Talk about feeling free! Dancing up a storm when I’m out at an event is so much fun. Just feeling proud and saying “bring it on” is the best!
How did ShapeFit help you reach your weight loss goals?
I have used and still use ShapeFit.com to research new exercises and weight training routines. This website has been a great help and the key to my weight loss! Just knowing that ShapeFit is there whenever I need some helpful advice is awesome. When I need something different with my workout plan I know right where to go!
Stephany’s Weight Loss Tips!
Weight loss tip #1:
Always keep your fitness plan the number one priority. Not only for yourself but for your family.
Weight loss tip #2:
Never be sidetracked when it comes to your exercise time. Always fit it in.
Weight loss tip #3:
Plan, plan and plan! Make sure to find a menu that will work for you and stick to it every day.
Weight loss tip #4:
Keep a log of your exercises and daily calorie intake. This way, if you have an influx in weight, you can see if you did something different that specific day with your diet or exercise plan.
Weight loss tip #5:
Surround yourself with people who will always be your cheerleader. There are always a few that will go the distance with you!
Stephany’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Egg Beaters omelet with spinach and mushrooms. One slice of whole wheat toast.
Salad with tuna or chicken. Soup is good too!
6 ounces of meat, chicken or fish with 2 veggies and a big salad.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Fruit, rice cakes with peanut butter, veggies.
Stephany’s Weight Loss Workouts!
I train a different body part 6 days per week. I do upper body 3 times a week and lower body 3 times a week.
I never thought that I would hear myself saying this, but It was so hard at first and now I can’t get enough! I also do interval running on the treadmill along with kickboxing class, spinning class and rowing class.
