How much did you lose?
I lost a total of 60 pounds and went from a size 14 to a size 0!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
After having 2 kids and suffering with hypothyroidism, I finally decided to lose weight.
What made you decide to lose weight?
My size kept going up and clothing stores around me were not carrying heavy sizes. Pre-diabetes also scared me in my second pregnancy. Not being able to run with my kids was a big motivator to lose the weight.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Sticking to a plan that I created myself. It’s a plan that a nutritionist or dietitian couldn’t even help me with.
What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
Overcoming several plateaus were difficult along with staying focused and motivated.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
After about 4 months I started seeing results.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me 11 months to reach my current weight.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
I have kept the weight off for 2 years. Always making sure to create new healthy recipes that still satisfy my taste buds is key. I have over 1,000 recipes on my Instagram (@flavorful_fit).
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
Being a health coach and representing myself as a building block for other people’s success. Making other people’s goals my own goals really keeps me motivated.
How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
I have become certified in personal training and health coaching.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Try to make sure your life is in a positive state because without positivity we can’t learn to eat healthy.

Ezekiel french toast and a protein shake.

Tofu wraps, homemade veggie burger with salad and brown rice.

My own gourmet dinners. I always try to keep it different with a broad range using chicken, fish, tofu, tempeh.
What do you normally eat for snacks?
Fruits, healthy fats, peanut butter, fruit shakes.
What type of nutritional supplements do you take?
I take probiotics.

I like doing Tabata workouts and intervals.
