How much did you lose?
I lost a total of 100 pounds!
When did you become unhappy with your weight (were you overweight as a child or did you gain weight as an adult)?
I was always overweight as a child and my weight would go up and down. I decided to make a change after the birth of my 7-year-old daughter. I was at my heaviest after my pregnancy .
What made you decide to lose weight?
I had a routine check-up and noticed the number on the scale was unbelievable! I also began to have health issues.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
During this process I was able to find my real self which gave me the confidence I needed to know that I can do whatever I put my mind to! I changed my way of eating, thinking and overall well-being.
What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
Eating the right foods was a big change and very difficult!
How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started seeing results quickly because I completely stopped drinking sugary sodas and the weight began to fall off.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me 18 months to lose the weight.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
I’ve maintained my weight for almost four months and the key factor is knowing what to eat and when to eat it. Keeping a daily regimen of exercise in my life is also very important.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
My fat pictures! How my daughter looks up to me is also very motivating!
How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
My life has changed tremendously and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Stay motivated! Connect with people who will push you! Believe in yourself!

What do you normally eat for breakfast?
Organic oatmeal, an apple and a bottled water.

Grilled turkey and spinach.

Grilled chicken slices on top of a fruit salad.
What do you normally eat for snacks?
Salt-free mixed nuts.
What type of nutritional supplements do you take?
NLA for Her supplements and daily women’s vitamins.

What do you do for weight training (exercises, workouts)?
I love lifting weights!
What do you do for cardio training (exercises, workouts)?
I run and walk 3-5 miles for each cardio workout and I do this 5 days a week.
