Tracey’s Weight Loss Interview!

How much did you lose (pounds, inches, dress/pants size)?
I lost 80 pounds and went from a size 22 and down to a size 6!

When did you become unhappy with your weight (were you overweight as a child or did you gain weight as an adult)?
I gained weight after having children. We went to an amusement park once when the kids were older and I could not fit into one of the rides and I had to leave the ride in shame. That was it for me!

What made you decide to lose weight?
I decided that I needed to put myself first.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
No more fast food, no more processed foods and no more soda!

What was the most challenging thing you had to deal with during your weight loss journey?
Trying to stay focused and to stay on track. Family parties are hard because of all of the tempting food is there.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
I started noticing results within weeks!

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
It took me two years to reach my current weight.

Did you have any issues with loose skin after losing the weight? If so, how did you deal with it (surgery, etc)?
I had a lot of excess loose skin on my stomach and decided to have a tummy tuck procedure last year.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and what are the most important factors for keeping it off?
I have maintained for about a year so far. I consistently stay on my diet, but allow myself a snack on occasion.

What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
My life has changed so much and there is no looking back now! I have to stay healthy for my children and for myself.

How has your life changed now that you have lost weight?
I feel so much more confident about myself now! I am wearing clothes I never have been able to wear before. I can actually wear a bikini now! I also decided to go back to college. Nobody can break my stride!

Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Find a favorite up-beat song and listen and dance to it every morning! Stay away from fast food, processed food and drink lots of water.

Weight Loss Tip #1:
No processed food or high calorie fast food!

Weight Loss Tip #2:
Eat nutrient dense whole foods that are healthy for you!

Weight Loss Tip #3:
Drink lots of water every day!

Weight Loss Tip #4:
Stay away from fad diets because they simply don’t work!

Weight Loss Tip #5:
Portion control and counting calories is very important!

Tracey’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

What do you normally eat for breakfast?
3 slices of bacon, one slice of whole wheat toast with a little butter, one banana and water.

What do you normally eat for lunch?
Salad with lean meat, low-fat cheese and a light ranch dressing, and of course water!

What do you normally eat for dinner?
Steamed veggies and baked chicken and water.

What do you normally eat for snacks?
I don’t usually eat snacks, but when I do it is carrot sticks, apple sauce or things like that.

What type of nutritional supplements do you take?
I don’t currently take any supplements.

Tracey’s Weight Loss Workouts!

What do you do for weight training (exercises, workouts)?
I have 3 boys and I work and also go to school. Right now that is my workout!

What do you do for cardio training (exercises, workouts)?
I like to go for walks or ride my bike for my cardio exercise.
