Learn The Truth About Abs – Tips To Get Ripped Six Pack Abs

Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

It is always a difficult thing to look around and see people out there who never workout and still have a great six pack. The truth is these people are few and far between. It is difficult to get a great six pack. In fact it is one of the most difficult things to obtain in the fitness world.

To understand how to get a six pack you have to understand what a six pack stands for. That washboard look really signals to the rest of the world that you are in fantastic shape, that you care about what you put into your diet and care about the exercises that you put your body through. In some aspects it is the most impressive part of the human body.

The reason why six pack abs are so impressive is because they are hard to obtain, the same way a great sculpted chest is for guys or a great set of buns are for women. It is something that both men and women look at to determine how much effort you are putting into yourself.

There are countless ways to exercise for a six pack, including my favorite and the most effective way, by doing compound movement strength training and interval fitness training to burn off the fat and build quality lean muscle mass.

Much of the time with intermediate fitness types, the problem doesn’t lie with the exercise portion, but instead with the nutrition portion. The old saying goes, a six pack is made in the kitchen. This is one of the unknown truths about six pack abs that not a lot of people really talk about.

You have to ensure that you are getting enough lean protein in your diet since protein is the building block of muscle. Now I don’t recommend one of those “all protein no carb” diets. I really believe carbs are as important as protein in your diet. However, getting the right kinds of quality carbs is essential.

If you really want to learn the truth about abs you need to understand when and what kinds or carbs the body really needs. One good way to really get a bunch of great carbs into your diet is by eating 1-2 cups of raw colorful veggies with each meal. The more colorful, the better. This will really give your body the vitamins, minerals as well as antioxidants it needs to recoup from your intense workouts. Also, vegetables have a great amount of fiber in them. This will keep your metabolism high and improve your core.

You will also need to be taking in a good amount of carbs with your post-workout meal. This is because the body uses them most effectively at that time to really repair the damaged muscle tissue.

While getting a bunch of quality protein and carbs are nice, there is another piece of the puzzle that needs to be addressed. You also need to get good dietary fats into your body. I know this sounds funny, eat fat to get a six pack? I am not talking about eating pounds of ice cream and nacho cheese, I am talking about the good fats that you hear about. Healthy fats like avocado, fish oil, seeds and nuts. These kinds of foods have something called monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. The real key to those big words is the unsaturated part. These are the fats that are going to help stabilize the body’s insulin levels and keep the body burning calories all day long.
