I have been on keto for a year now. I started out weighing 215 pounds and now I’m at 185 pounds. Everything has stopped, no more weight loss. I’m 65 years old and I know its harder to lose weight when you are older. I’ve been working out on my Total Gym and that seems to not be working at all. I drink seven 30 ounce bottles of water a day. I read everything on the food packages and make sure that my intake is low with carbs I don’t eat processed foods either. I’m the one that does all the food shopping and cooking so I really watch what I buy and eat. If you can help me with what I’m doing wrong that would be great. Thanks!
Hi Dawn – Your best bet is to have your hormone levels checked by your primary physician or an anti-aging clinic to see if you are low on certain items. Eating clean and exercising to lose fat and build lean muscle is very difficult when you have unbalanced hormones so follow up with your doctor and see if they can get a full metabolic panel ordered for you.
I started out at 215 pounds and cut out all sugars and white bread and lost 13 pounds. Now I have gone full vegan with no nuts or vegetable oils and the weight keeps dropping (about 7 pounds over 2-3 weeks). I am currently at 187 pounds. Hope this helps!
