Hi all,
I'm a tall and slim but have a big . It's not a beer but a junk food, over eating . I'm 6'5" and weigh 15s5lb.
I never really exercised and smoked like a trooper!
This year I have stopped smoking and want to lose the but also gain muscle in arms and legs as they're quite thin.
At the moment I am using an exercise bike for 30 mins a day, to be honest that is hard work as i'm really not used to it and also trying to eat healthy.
If I start doing different workouts for building muscle as well as the exercise bike while I still have a big will I still lose the or will it just get more solid?
main aim is to lose the so would it be best to lose the first and then build up muscles?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

it is possible to build muscle and lose fat at the same time for about the first year of training then you have to do one or the other, tell anyone who says its not possible to kiss . there is no quick solution bro, you just have to work hard and eat right, get a personal trainer if you have to or take the time to educate yourself on nutrition and exercise through personal experience and research. just remember the only way you can truly fail is by giving up and keep in mind that if you quit you will eventually feel sorry enough for yourself to give it another try so just dont quit period. think positive, think about the promising and satisfying future and keep working hard and you will achieve anything!

chris82,
I'd say go with ALL bodyweight exercises. Contrary to popular belief, they actually put a lot of muscle and especially strength on you. Just a matter of nutrition. Since you've never really kept up with regular exercise before, I'd suggest starting with 1 set of pushups and 1 set of squats everyday. It'll take you 2 minutes MAXIMUM, and the effects really snowball. The point of this is not how many reps or sets you're doing, but the fact that you ARE doing it everyday. It helps a TON. Soon enough (about 2-3 weeks), going to bed without exercise will feel just as wrong as going to bed without brushing your teeth that day.
Good luck!

You can do some situp every day.I do it and keep on going.

You dont actually have to workout that much. Workout once a week for each muscle group, psuh day, pull day (look those up) and a leg day and lift heavy and I mean really heavy. BUT The most important thing is FORM, if you dont lift correctly you wont target the muscle. Form is the difference between 100% and 40% workouts.
Eat a lot of meat or protein shakes. Weight lifting actually burns more calories then any other workout.

I have a friend who was in the same boat as you. I simply had friend focus on clean eating (no junk food) and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). After two months his was gone and he started to develop quite a nice physique. Another important thing to remember is to drink a ton of water as it will help in getting rid of your fluid retention in your stomach. I hope this helps. Please message me for more advice if you like:)
