Long story short: I usually wear heart rate monitor (Polar f6) when I train or do cardio.
However, just for fun I wore it one morning just to see how many calories I burn on a typical day. From 830-1230 (4 hours) I burned over 1400 calories!! I did a short walk with 2 kids in a stroller (20 mintues), made beds, vacuumed and cleaned a couple of rooms and took the kids to the park (but I wasn't running and chasing as much as I usually do).
Anyway, I'm not sure what question is or if I even have one. I guessed I'm just shocked that I burned so many calories in a morning without really working out. Has anyone else worn their HRM for a day to see what their calorie expenditure is?
A typical woman size/weight/age would have an RMR of 1400 calories. But I burned that in a couple of hours.
FYI: I'm 35 years old. 5'7 and 139 lbs (I need to lose a few) Body fat 18%. I'm a personal trainer.
