A bunch of questions

Post by Iron Guts »

Ok, I've been thinking about these for a while but just havn't bothered with asking them.

Hypothetical - If you had a lot of , could you stop eating and use your as "fuel" for workouts to build muscle?

Is it true that if you stop working out for a long time, that your muscle will actually turn into fat, and/or will your strength decrese?

Is it possible to get continuously stronger without getting bulk/bigger muscles?

might be burned as fuel, but usually in the absence of Carbs, and that would be converted to energy, so you might be able to do that, with a no carb diet, like you're suggesting, but unless you're competing for a contest, don't do it.

Muscle doesn't convert to Fat, it isn't Fat. Usually stopping working out Atrophies Muscle, then because you don't regulary rev your Metabolism up, you can store more Fat sometimes, as it's not being burned off to some extent.

Difficult to say. Without resistance training probably not. You might be able to do things that just target Connective tissues, but I doubt they'd be that effective. You could only probably strengthen certain things perhaps like Bones, if you had a low Calcium intake, and increased it, thereby adding more Calcium to the Bone Matrix.

The only other thing I can think of, that might have some effect like that, is something called CNP Joint Formula, which strengthens I believe, the Collagen levels / deposits in the Back, and possibly Creatine could give you some extra strength more relating to power increase though than strength.

Otherwise, strength gains resulting from no additional muscle development, would probably be slim to nil.

- no as you'll also use muscle making you fatter
- your muscle shrink back to regular size not turn to fat but because your skin is stretched it makes you look fat and you'll likely lose strength as they will only shrink if inactive
- yes but at some point you'll need to get to get bigger to get stronger
