I was wondering if anyone else has any information on acai berry for weight loss. I just recently read an article saying that it was a scam. Here is the article for those interested.

Fitness pros get a bad rap at times. And hey, sometimes it's well deserved. It's unfortunate, but there are still way too many "meat head" trainers who are more interested in looking at themselves in a mirror than they are in their own clients. I can tell you right now the unscrupulous marketers online are making a FORTUNE promoting these Acai Berry pills right now. And they are able to do that because they are promoting it as weight loss and not the real benefit of Acai Berry. It is the "magic pill" of the day. If you've been paying attention to the weight loss market you'll know it used to be Hoodia.
Now, you might not like it, but I'm not going to be the one to lie to you. I'm not going to be the one to tell you take this little pill and watch the weight fall off. Acai Berry is a heck of an antioxidant that can help your body fight the aging process and help boost your immune system, but it's not going to flush the excess pounds off your , butt, hips and thighs. I've been adding it to breakfast. Nothing really amazing has happened yet. I'd love to hear other peoples experiences with it as well.

Yes, it is a scam as far as I'm concerned. Acai products can contain antioxidants if they are properly processed. But this really doesn't have anything to do with fat loss. I'd say these kind of products are a waste of money for the most part.
99% of the "fat burners" out there are worthless (usually overpriced caffeine tablets). The ECA stack can be helpful, but not even it will help without a negative calorie balance--that's the key to fat loss.* Just remember if it seems too good to be true. . .

Hey all, you should definitely just focus on eating real foods....lean protein, veggies, healthy fats and some carbs after your training session.
There is never one magic bullet and yes, Acai has some benefits in combination with regular nutrition and exercise but I certainly wouldn't rely on it.

Too true.
Anybody can waffle on about mystical berries and seeds from Andean foothills or remote asian locations and then produce 15 or more purported benefits, as if they've just struck metabolic gold, but I tend to believe that the more benefits something claims to have, beyond maybe a basic 5-6 or less, the more likely it is, some of those benefits are weak, or just plain made up, possibly with fake testimonies attached or basically poor science, like saying something helps you lose weight because it was tested on 5 men and 5 women with normal BMI ha ha ha.
Some supplements probably have less benefits, than just drinking urine with a bit of fish oil in it
