Going2bthinsoon Diet/Exersice Journal

Post by Going2bthin »

Good Morning All :)

Im 31, female. Looking to lose 40+ pounds

Back ground:

I have always struggled with weight. I was a chunky Kid. mom called me fat too many times so I decided to starve myself until I was thin..... :( Well I forgot to chew gum for sugar one morning and passed out in class.... but was happy with weight at that point. Of course metablizim was all screwed up at that point but I never felt hungry no matter how long I would go with out eating. As a rule I would eat about once a day. Terrible habit, I was a busy High School Student. Worked 2 jobs and had a boyfriend.... Once out of school I meet Husband. mother did not like him so she did not speak to me for 2 years. During those 2 years i went through a depression. I gained about 40 pounds but now looking back I think I just got to the weight body should have been. I became a stay at home mom to Husbands 2 children. I ate out of bordem..... I hated being a house wife. I struggled for a few years off and on with watching what I ate and trying to maintain weight. At 23 I had 1st child. I gained 41 pounds with pregnancy. After having Bradley it took me a little over a year to get to 150 pounds and could not lose any more weight. I was happy with this weight. Well then Husband lost his mother of colon cancer and the very next year we lost his father to Lung Cancer. URG.... Stress..... well I ended up losing down to 145. But then went through depression again and gained weight again. 172 was high weight when I found out I was pregnant again. I had a complicated pregnancy. I hemeraged at 31 weeks and Adam was delivered by Emergancy C-Section at 32 weeks. I weighed 212. OMG. I can not believe I was ever that big. Well when I returned to work from Maturnity leave I was at 185...... Took me 2 years to get the weight off. I was at 151 February 2009 only to find out in March that I was once again pregnant.... Sighhhhhhhh....... well I was careful during this pregnancy and really watched what I ate as I did not want to be as big as I was the last pregnancy. I only gained 25 pounds. YAY..... well Kylee was also born early. i was 35 weeks when I had an Emergancy C-Section.... Kylee was the biggest of all of babys weighing in at 7 pounds. LOL I know that is average but it was big to me when little Adam only weighed 3 pounds 10 ounces.... Anyways, Kylee is now 9 months old and I weigh more now than I did when I was pregnant with her. Something has got to give. I am going to take this weight off.

Goals:
ultimate goal is to be 130 pounds. I am aiming for 10 pound goals.

1st 10 pound goal will be 176, once I reach this goal I'm going to go get Nails and Feet done.
Next 10 pound goal will be 166, once I reach this goal I'm going to go get me a new pair of sneakers.
Next 10 pound goal will be 156, once I reach this goal I will get hair Permed and cut.
Next 10 pound goal will be 146, once I have reached this goal I will be purchasing myself a new outfit for work........

Not sure what the rest of the goals will be as I am sure they might change. But this is a good start.

You need some protein here... maybe eggs?

Snack here... like string cheese and nuts or fruit

I dont' know about you but a bag of cheetos is kinda junkie... no? You need some veggies here. Maybe a side salad?

As mentioned above... 6 small meals are good. Every 2.5 to 3 hours.

Good to see you back again. I hope this works out for you. Be proud of your intentions and your actions thus far. It's not going to be easy, but with any necessary changes to current regimen and making sure you keep a strong sense of self belief, you CAN achieve your goals.

You can certainly be proud of all your admissions, especially for mentioning the depression because it obviously must have been tough to write about things like that, but it does you credit and I often find through someones heartfelt hard admissions, comes a sense of beauty.

So I don't see you as someone that needs to be pitied or treated delicately, but I see someone that can be positive influence to others, including their children and be a potentially positive figure of change, by succeeding and showing people that your background and past issues, never hindered you from being what you became, when you do and I believe WILL become that sort of rolemodel person who has succeeded.

Whatever support you need when it's possible to give it, we will be here for you. If you have any sensitive issues, or problems with other members or board use, moderators can be here for a private and discreet one to one, because we understand that to succeed physically you must be mentally and emotionally in the right headspace.

So I wish you a lot of luck and thank you for telling us about some difficult things. Your courage and humanity say good things abotu you and I am in no doubt you will be a positive and appreciated part of the community, for as long as you want to be.

Best wishes and take care :).

I really like coke myself. Not coke zero, no the real sugary full of crap regular coke. Coke Zero really though is full of crap as well just not calories. I try not to drink it anymore though. Just every once in a while when i go out to eat. I try to drink ice cold water mainly. Wish you the best of success. You will find great support, suggestions and ecouragement here. :)

It's understandable that you might find it difficult to keep going after just starting, because you're trying to lose weight. You just need to keep believing in your ability to do it, because you CAN and I'm sure that soon enough, you will start to make good on the efforts you're trying to make.

You should be proud for trying to change, because plenty of overweight people can't be bothered. Now you've tried to change, instead of just half-heartedly saying it, it will get a little easier :)

A package of crackers ?..Might be enough energy to click the remote button on for the TV.You need a diet with protein, whole foods, adequate sleep & a structured workout, so you can achieve the sense your going somewhere, to encourage you further your fitness goals.Once you've been hooked things will be easier, it is the initial stage you need to push yourself through, no one can do it for you :)

Good Morning me again......

i have not been on in a while ( ) and really need to step up game plan... i have been attending aerobics classes at the YMCA for almost 2 months straight and have not missed a day. (i go 5 days a week) will no changes.... it is diet i know it is.

I am serious with it this time.... and i plan to take it off.. i am so tired of trying to squeeze into clothes that dont fit or dont look good cause of the extra weight around middle...

the good news about working out is leggs look really good... LOL they have always been fit... i dont really gain a whole lot of weight in that area... Mostly in the midsections and in arms.....

I am confident that you CAN do this, as long as you keep believing in yourself.

You deserve to give yourself the time and attention you need to, because you're worth the time and attention, but you need to recognise that you ARE worth it and also what value you have to this world and others.

You're a great person and I know it WILl work out for you in the end. Just keep your chin up and don't let anything or anyone get you down. You have a right to be healthy but it will take time, so don't be too hard on yourself and give yourself the time and patience needed to succeed.

We WILL be here for you and this community will try to stick by you all the way :).

Good luck and be proud of yourself for trying to do this and sticking to the exercise part of it. These are positives you can use to help you push on.

I'm proud to see you admitting some positives and for not giving in and you HAVE got a good heart, so keep using it to it's best and keep believing in yourself every day :).
