Muscle Mass Gaining Problem!!!

Post by SkinnyRay »

Hello,

I'm trying to find the best supplements that would help boost me up for when I workout. I want to gain muscle mass, but I am having a really hard time keeping the weight. Powder Shakes taste really bad so I stop using it. Is there anything that would help me with gaining mass and staying energized while I'm working out?

If powdered shakes taste bad, then try stacking BCAA's with Glutamine and consider boosting the BCAA potential with something like powerade or gatorade, for a burst of energy after training and to help recovery of muscle glycogen and blood sugar levels.

However you must consider such options when diet and training are in check. Get that foundation of good training and diet discipline in motion first before supplementing, otherwise weightlifting type supplements become a potentially haphazard and inneffective inclusion.

Hey SkinnyRay

Ditch the supps dude

You want a garaunteed way to build mass?

Follow this program.

It was used by the Old School Bodybuilders before the introduction of roids.

It's called the 'Milk & Squat' Program

Monday - Barbell Squats 3 sets of 15-20 reps
Pull Ups 3 sets to failure (or Lat Pulldowns 3 sets of 8-12 reps)
Bench Press 3 sets of 8-12 reps

Tuesday - OFF

Wednesday - Barbell Squats 3 sets of 15-20 reps
Pull Ups 3 sets to failure (or Lat Pulldowns 3 sets of 8-12 reps)
Bench Press 3 sets of 8-12 reps

Thursday - OFF

Friday - Barbell Squats 3 sets of 15-20 reps
Pull Ups 3 sets to failure (or Lat Pulldowns 3 sets of 8-12 reps)
Bench Press 3 sets of 8-12 reps

Saturday & Sunday - OFF

And drink 1 gallon of whole milk EVERYDAY

I blog about this stuff.

However if you have issues with lactose or don't like the idea of dairy, you could try things like soy milk, almond milk, oat milk or rice milk.

Another option is kefir. people grow a lot of it so you can get some sometimes for free.

You leave it in milk for around 12-36 hours, depnding on how you might like it and it dissolves the lactose and turns the milk into a yoghurty type substance.

However there are products like lacto free, but I don't know how available they are outside of Britain.

Don't forget the second most important meal of the day, your post workout meal. Within an hour of exercising have a meal that has a 4/1 carbohydrate to protein ratio with very little fat. This meal will help you recover and get bigger and stronger by replacing muscle glycogen and in turn enhance protein synthesis. You can do this with food or you can simply drink low fat chocolate milk. Consume enough calories to make up for what you burned during your workout.

Putting on mass is simple. You must eat more calories than you are burning. If you are not putting on weight, you are simply not eating enough.

One great way to prevent weight loss is to consume Gatorade or some sort of high carbs drink while you are training. High sugar or carb drinks will keep you fueled with stored energy and prevent any unneeded weight loss.

Don't focus on powder shakes proteins your body don't need to much of them . Its the perfect combo of carbs+proteins: milk, eggs, red meat, chicken, and fish.+fluids+sugar+vitamins + Powder shakes

Powder shakes are the best source of protein. IF you really don't like it you need to eat more. :D :D
