Hi everyone..
I joined a gym about a month ago, so far i only do 1hr of cardio 4-5 times a wk, i started off really slow so i didnt overdo it considerin i hadnt exercised in over 13yrs. i would like to do some strengh training so i thought to join a kettlercise class, one problem is that i am absolutely petrified people are going to laugh at me or i wont be doing the moves right, i could of gone yday but i scared myself too much n i didnt end up going. just wondered if anyone has any advice on how hard it is? Or is it even worth goin? i knw its stupid but i do lack confidence n self esteem.
any advice appreciated.

Hi MJ, it's good to speak with you.
I cannot speak from experience, as I don't know anywhere near me that does it, or what sort of format it is, but I don't think anybody would laugh at you, because if they are there to change their physical ability in some way, then they care about themselves and wouldn't be very likely to ridicule others I would have thought.
As for not getting the moves right, many people probably go to certain types of exercises classes and don't get some of the moves right first time and admittedly, when it's one involving weights, as opposed to just cardio, then that does promote an increased element of risk, but anyone doing such a class ought to consider this first, but whilst this could happen to you, I do not think it's very likely if the class i8s instructed properly.
The main thing I would say is just to try it, as you might find you like it or not as the case may be, but don't worry about how others will react to you, as I'm fairly confident it won't bother them how well you do the first time or not.
If this is something that could make a positive physical impact on your future, then why let misconceptions out you off and stop you doing something you might enjoy and benefit from?
Just be strong, chin up and no worries okay

Don't worry, you're not the first and definitely won't be the last person to feel like you'll look silly because you're don;t know what you're doing. I very much doubt like bossman said that anyone will even pay that much attention to you. I would suggest mentioning to the instructor that it's your first time and I'm sure they'll spend some extra time helping you with the basics. I'm sure once you've been a few times you'll get the hang of it.
Re: kettlercise?
