Post by dwest2419 »

Hi guys? I'm kind of new here. For first post, I want to talk about what else can I eat beside the certain foods I've been eating lately. Here's the things I have eating to lose weight

Breakfast
Egg Whites
Grits

Food

Baked Chicken
Grilled Chicken
Turkey Burgers w/Whole Wheat Bread

Side item

Baked Potato
Mash Potatoes (No Gravy and no butter)
Vegetables (Broccoli, Cauliflower, and Carrots)
Beans (with brown rice)

Snack
Peanuts

I want to know what else can I eat?

Hi DW it's good to talk to you.

Yes, you can choose a variety of different options for snacks.

You can have things like, microwave baked beans, soup and rice, vegetables like pineapple, raw carrot and celery sticks, fruits including tomato and cucumber, bread, low sugar yoghurt, oat granolas, nuts, peanuts, ham, chicken turkey and beef from a packet, pre-boiled eggs, flax seeds and sandwiches.

Some of those you already have and some of those are partial snacks whilst others are complete snacks, but you'll probably work that out for yourself.

The main thing is to aim for about 5-6 meals a day and don't go under 1,800 calories at least.

I would also like to add, ground turkey breast ( much lower fat than reg turkey burgers) avocados, almonds, low fat cottage cheese, sauté spinach with some Djon mustard and grated parm cheese, make a sandwich with meat or eggs and use a low carb wrap instead of bread, use salsa, Djon mustard, fat free plain yogurt, low sugar ketcup, vinegar to make various condiments and sauces to cook with, which will help flavor foods!
