Good morning, all lovely sisters,

I hadn't heard that sad news, Sue. I was a big Eight is Enough fan, too. :( Great workouts for you!

Great workout for you, too, Chris! If I had known how difficult it was going to be to get the old grout out, I'd have been tempted to call BathFitter for a fiberglass liner instead. But I'm afraid FIL would be coming to haunt me--he was very proud of his Italian tile. It's not favorite, being tan/brown, but . . . Yay on getting your clean done!

Hope your trip went well, Bama, and you are settling back in.

YAH, hope you had a fun day yesterday, and today is going well also.

I won't be gouging grout today--it's so hot and humid upstairs that hands were sweaty after just a few minutes. I guess I'll do some cleaning downstairs instead, maybe clean the fridge and kitchen cupboards. I was going to go shopping but the forecast is t-storms with possible hail, so I think I'll just stay home unless it comes or passes. (I was talking to someone last week and they said, "oh, you have a brand new car!" Nope, it's 6 years old, but I do like it clean and shiny and I don't want it full of hail dents. :D )

DS has finally gotten his NC plates so is planning to drive up this week, so that will be nice. Poor Chief seems to be aging quickly, so I'll be glad to know he's back with his daddy. I did take him to the vet a few weeks ago, and the vet thought he was in good shape for his age and breed, but I've still been kind of worried. Boxers are very prone to cancer as they get older. Sounds like DS's GF may fly up for the weekend and then drive back with him, we'll see. Hope I can get the shower done by then.

So far I've only done 25 burpees and some planks, but I am planning to do Yoga for Flexibility as soon as lunch settles.

Have a great day, everyone~

Good day all! just a note to say I hope you all have a very nice day :D It is sunny today but rain likely for rest of week a bit. I'm so mad that I didn't think of going outside to see the 'lights' last night! Forgot all about it being really good for that because of the magnetic storm we had:) I will look before I go bed tonight but can't say up late as early morning and I will look then too. Mo, I thick your having some of the bad weather GB and lower Mi. had yesterday? I guess a few tornado's hit also in L.P. Hope it clears out for you quick :wowzer: Sorry on that grout but glad your DS is coming for his dog if it is getting older but know you will miss your furkids also :( Seems like so many people come up here before and during the 4th of July for the summer part only:)
Sue, hoping your day goes great also! Seeing some sun today and I see I have a robin's nest very close to window in one of lilac bushes:) Can keep a watch on it and the babies when they start to fly. Haven't seen those cats around lately but they might come at night more. Dh was the one doing the lawnmowing by hand at work:) He's used to his riding one also. I did enjoy day yesterday:)
Bama, hope your more settled in and hoping for a house sale soon :D I imagine some yard work there.
Chris, hoping all goes well with your mom and she comes back home also soon:) Hope the weather is nicer also:)
Well, better go and get something more done and maybe enjoy some outside time also. Enjoy your day and sleep good everyone!

Just wanted to post that I did get yoga done--yay, me! :D

I'm sorry you missed looking for the Northern Lights last night, YAH. I usually do that, too--make a note of some event and then forget about it. So cool that you'll be able to watch the eggs hatching and see the baby robins! I went out to do some hanging from "bat bar" this afternoon. I have an old yoga mat hanging over it that I put on the ground so I don't get hair and hands all dirty. I had it folded in half, hanging over the bar. When I went to take it down, there were all sorts of little sticks stuffed in both ends--apparently I disturbed somebody's nest-making endeavors. Oops. :wowzer:

And I got in about an hour of grout-gouging after all--the wind kicked up and it was halfway bearable up there. Making progress, although poor right hand is feeling pretty beat up.

Sweet dreams, everyone!

Good Morning All,
Last night I did two loads of laundry and made up salads for the rest of the weeks lunches. No workout for me. I was so tired I couldn't even read so I turned out the light and went to sleep.

Great job with the yoga Mo and the planks and burpees!! Want to come and clean car? Actually DS got it into his head to give it a wash recently.

Yea on getting to see the sun a bit YAH!! Hope you get to see some lights anyway. Keep an eye out for this pesky crows raiding the robins nest. That has happened more than once here and it makes me sad. Yes we are getting a little sun too, thanks!

Hope you had a good workout too Sue! So sorry on the passing of a great actor. I too enjoyed the Eight is Enough show.

Hi to you too Bama!

Morning sisters,

On tap for workouts today....2 Combined workouts from Prevention -Flab Your Thighs (Exercises to tone your upper legs) and Prevention's Get Lovely Leg this morning and WHM's Get Sleek, Sexy Arms

Molasses, I see, you too were a big Eight Is Enough fan too. Good luck with the grout.

I have to make a date with the fridge and cabinets soon too, Molasses. I am with you, always had a nice clean, shiny car, took every Saturday and it was cleaned inside and out. Even when Chuck and I were together, weekends were for "cars". Early years cleaning, later years racing, and even later years restoration of the 55 Chevy, 63 Impala, etc.

Glad to hear DS got his plate and will be coming this weekend and I know Chief will be thrilled and HUGS to Chief. Glad his vet visit went so well.

Good workouts for you with the burpees and planks and I see Yoga for later in the day.

YAH just think of this would you rather have "rain" or 106 degrees.....I'll take the rain plus we need it. Sorry you miss the lights.

Tuesday was good and bad YAH. Oh a nice robin's nest I see and hope the cats aren't around either. Glad you had a nice day yesterday.

Sorry about your hanging bar, Molasses and I see you got some grout work in too.

Chris, I feel for you on the tiredness. I see you kept Lucy & Ethel busy and mmmm salads for lunch, I used to make those too for myself.

Yes, I did have a good workout Chris. I see you were a Eight is Enough fan too. We had Blue Jays, Chris, that would go after the other birds and once a nest of Blue Jays in our front tree on the driveway that would attack us when we came outside. We had to get a tree guy to come out and take out the nest.

Bama, hope you are winning and getting a lot of good shopping done with those winnings. LOL

Molasses hope your day goes well.

YAH, hope there's good music at work today and the day goes well.

I am off to check boards, mail, eat, workout, dust and the list goes on......

Sue

Happy Hump Day, Sweat Sisters,

Have we heard from Bama since her trip? I hope they didn't have any trouble.

Good workouts, Sue! Thanks on the grout--I'm starting to feel like it actually might get done. :D Hopefully I can have the shower grouted, sealed and dried before DS's GF gets here (if she comes), but if not, she'll just have to take her turn in the downstairs shower with everyone else! Chiefy thanks you for the hugs. He seems more like himself today, thank goodness.

Got a text from DS this morning; he is probably leaving tonight and arriving at what is known around here as "zero dark thirty." :D I've got his bed made up, but need to get out to do some shopping.

Sorry about the workout, Chris, but looks like you got some other stuff done anyway. :) I've been making DH's lunch salads for a few days at a time, too, instead of pulling out all the veggie bags every morning; it's a timesaver for sure.

Hope your day went well, YAH, and you got to see some of the aurora borealis. Rumor had it we were supposed to be able to see Northern Lights last night, but I don't think it happened. We did have a really gorgeous sunset though. I snapped some pictures with phone, but the color washed out--instead of the intense orange, the pictures look peachy. I'll try to post one later--between the clouds and the color, it was neat to see.

Strength training, plank variations, and 30 burpees for me this morning.

Have a great day, everyone~

Morning sisters,

On tap for today...Evening workout walking/dancing/cardio plus the RLW with the vacuum.

I am with ya on the grout, and as the saying goes when you are visiting you "get what you get"....glad to hear Chief is doing a bit better.

So glad will be there soon.

Yes, I did hear from Bama, and she arrived and was off to some gambling and shopping....and would be back on Friday I believe she said.

Well I had fits with this site yesterday afternoon, with the error message and hit back button, and other things said didn't work, plus the "draft" button was grayed out. Which was why I sent it by email.

Glad it's working this a.m.

Chris, hope all is well with you and your family.

Molasses, hope your day goes wonderfully and DS arrives safe and sound. Have a wonderful visit.

Bama you are missed, but I am hoping you are having a fun time.

I am off.....

Sue

Hi All,
Been busy and that is getting in the way of working out. I did mow the lawn last night with the push mower and plan to do the front and some weed whacking tonight. Got another couple loads of laundry washed but now it is piled high and I have to fold. Cleaning has taken a back seat to the outdoors since the sun came out.

Have a good day all!!
wet noodle is out and I will get workout in tonight (stay tuned....)

Just a quick hello here as should be cooking by now:) Wanted to make a bone broth with a little meat also but lots of vegetables:) Seeing a little sun peeking out but still clouds also. Got cloudy last night so didn't watch for 'lights'. Legs were aching from work. They don't do that much at home but after work they sure do! Went get a few groceries and went son's until they got home as didn't see a glimpse of them at work. But we had a cookout and a pig roast and all so I guess they were busy in the kitchen a lot. Only got a hot dog out of it as at noon we were allowed only One thing which I thought maybe at least 2 meats and sons said they ended up throwing a lot away! Middle son is in cafeteria at supper time and he was giving as many away as he could as food was free also:) Pork was all gone faster but I didn't have it as I don't bbq sauce on it and just didn't see good with no mashed potato or sourkrout:) Now son has 11 days off to get things done and bachelor party down GB and then he can still work some days before moving although lots to get done. Hopefully he finds a nice place close to work down there.
Chris, thats a lot of exericise outside remember? And Mo, you sure are using up calories with that grout work too! Sorry about the yoga mat and sticks and all:) Squirrels would be the biggest worry on the eggs here also. Lady at work says they have a hawk thats there every year and gets the baby robins etc. around there. Lucky she has a big dog I guess. Rabbits are around and used to the pit bull dog as she don't go after them or anything:) She had it at work yesterday also.
Looks like all hk's and me tomorrow as all the FT people are off:( Hoping I have the weekend free to rest up for Mon. and Tues. to work.
Sue, too hot where you are! Hope it cools off and I know I don't like A/C cooling much. Rather have a breeze from a fan:) But at work it seems it blows hot air around and people keep putting some off and I have to turn them on again. Hope you get a good nap and good sleep too and you sure get enought exericse too!
I must have missed where Bama went on a trip so I hope she's having fun and will let us know when she gets back:)
Angii, I see you had fun at race and I'm with you as to getting your vehicle back also:) Enjoy your gf's also.
Mo, enjoy your DS's company as much as possible and hoping he has a place for the pets also? I know I hate when son travels by himself so much also. Everyone have a very nice day and some good sleeping time also! :coffee:

Good Morning Peeps,
Well I persevered last night and did get a workout in. I did chest and abs work with wall pushups (4 sets, 40 reps), bench press (4 sets, 15 reps, 20 lbs), chest fly (4 sets, 15 reps, 2x7 lbs), and 2 sets of knee tucks. Was glad to do a workout finally. Also watched Terminator 2 last night with DH. Folded a couple loads of laundry that had been sitting. Wow I lead an exciting life! :funny:
On the food side of things I am starting to switch out hot cocoa in the morning to an orange and pineapple smoothie. It was very good this morning but since I am using the fruit instead of the juice I had to finish it with a spoon. :)
June has flown by!! For the next month I am continuing with the workouts that I am doing. goal is to progress to a little heavier weights and to improve on the frequency of workouts. We will see!

Oh YAH that soup sounds good! Hope you had a good day too!

Welcome neomax! Feel free to join in. We are here to support and help each other. Can't wait to hear how you are doing!

Sue I hoped you enjoyed your workouts! Things are going well with family. I didn't check on everyone last night for the first time in a week. Keeping fingers crossed that Mom gets out today.

Mo great workouts for you this week! Enjoy your Ds's company!

Good morning, Sweat Sisters,

Great job, Chris, on getting in a good workout, your clothes folded and some quality hub-time, too! :thumb: Sounds like a good plan for July (July already? Yikes! :wowzer: )!

Nothing like a nice bone broth, YAH! Hope you got yours going last night. :) What a waste of the food at work; doesn't that just make you sick? I hate waste, even when it has nothing to do with me. DS is definitely taking his little fur bundles back with him. He says GF's apt. isn't that big, but they'll all fit. :D She has a cat, too, so it should be interesting.

Welcome, neomax; I hope you'll stick with us--we are always happy to see new faces. I'm 53, too; it's a good age! What kinds of workouts are you doing?

Great workouts, Sue! Sorry you were having site issues. Thanks--DS did get here safely, and I'm enjoying his company.

Hope you are winning big, Bama!

Strength training for me this morning, followed by 25 burpees.

Have a great day, all!

Afternoon all, Well trip is finally over and we are back to sunny SE Alabama . Still not got everything back to normal as we arrived home Sunday and left Tuesday for Mississippi . Trips are finished until Fall. Did get in over 10000 steps in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Nothing on Sunday in the car all day and also in car most of Tuesday and yesterday , half day on those two days Got strength in this morning and it was hard as I hadn't used 15 pounders for two months . How quick your muscles fall back . Will catch up on the postings this weekend . Happy Friday all . It is good to be done for awhile .
