Alright, Well one friend is trying to tell me two things..If you eat your food faster it will slow down your metabolism..and that if you eat anything past 8 o clock that it helps get you fatter.. I am trying to prove him wrong on that by telling him it depends on what you eat not if you eat. But Wanna prove him wrong by have showing him others answers.
it won't slow metabolism but it takes 10mins or so for the brain to register that your stomach is full so could potentially over eat gaining wt
i eat right before i go to bed and i think i look alright...if your cal requirements are 3000 a day and you've had them by 8 o clock and then if you eat then yes it will probably store as fat (cals in vs cal's out rule) and it doesn't matter what you eat, if it's over what you've used than you might grow fat

Swaonso is right that it won't slow down your metabolism, just increase the chance you will overeat.
Eating befor ebed is not necessarily bad. I always eat before bed or I wake up starving. A lot of people find that eating a small serving of good fats is satisfying before bed. A handful of seeds or nuts. A protein shake is another good choice before bed.just keep portions small when eating before bed.

Prior to now I used to eat meals quickly and I wouldn’t register that I was full so portion was bigger. Now I have a smaller portion and eat and chew food slowly, placing knife and fork down between bites. It takes 20 minutes for the brain to register that it is full.
mmmm after reading your responses I'm confused lol. PT told me not to eat 2-3 hours before going to bed as the digestion process slows down.

No he didn't really explain why. He just told me not to eat 2-3 hours before bed as metabolism slows down and he said it slows digestion. I didn’t really question him about this. Next session we have I will ask him the whysBoss Man wrote:
By the way did the PT say why this slow down happens?
