Milk in your diet
I was wondering what the pros and cons of milk in the diet are like how much and what fat percents are good to be taking. I am currently drinking 0.5 % milk usually once a day and one a day with vinilla soy milk for smooties. Also i was wondering about eating trailmix for snacks is it bad or good?

That makes no sense, and besides Milk has 2 Proteins, Whey and Casein, the only other type of common complete dietry protein you can get, is Soy, and that's not in Dairy.kimmi wrote:Milk is good for health.Whose want to become fatty or whose want to become thin. how about milk products?
How about milk products?
I eat a pretty decent amoutn of dairy:
-A little milk with oatmeal in the morning
-A piece of string cheese as a mid-morning snack
-A piece of cheese on sandwich
-Milk with protein shake
-Cottage cheese an hour or so before bed
How excessive is this?

If you are 100% sure that you are lactose tolerant then you can use it wherever you want, don't exceed tough.RMorrison wrote:How about milk products?

and Cottage Chesse is not really good ... replace it with low fat cheese
Don't mix Milk with Protein Shakes, it slows down the absorption.
1. It increases the Casein content.
2. Increases the calories, Water has no cals.
3. It means you use a Lactase enzyme, to digest the Galactose part of the Lactose, which if you mix shakes with water, means you won't be utilising as many enzymes.
You should use water, so the ability for the body to get nutrition from shakes quickly, is better.
