stretch mark for guys?

Post by TheCarLover »

i'm having stretch marks over love handles. Is it something i should be ashamed about? i go to the gym 3 times a week and have seen improvements in muscle mass and tone. However, because of this(stretch marks), i'm afraid to go bare bodies in the shower. afraid of being teased and dissed by the other guys. I'm having a low self esteem because of this.

i need encouragement.

thank you.

how bad are they? are they rapid wt gain or rapid fat loss? i think there are various creams you can try to clear them up...i know bossman has answered this before...maybe check the skin care section for a post in there

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is the best cream to make them fade. You should be able to pick it up at any major drug store. And dude seriously don't let the stretch marks get to you. I have them ALL over biceps. hips and right above arm pits. In the beginning when they first started to appear they looked as if they were blood red. But to be honest, I really don't care about them. I am actually proud of them in a way... every time I take shirt off and look at myself it reminds me how far I've come.

But rest assured they WILL fade in time with or without using cream. Although using cream is a catalyst to the process.

Stretch marks are a tering in the Collagen under the skin.

You can use things like Cocoa Butter possible increase Vit E, or even Vit C might work, as one thing Vit C is responsible for is Collagen production in the Skin, Bones and Teeth, so you could try things like that.

If you feel C might help, try taking 1g first thing, and another 1g before bed.

Some people megadose C for immune health as much a 3g a day, some even more at close on 10g sometimes. I admit I don't, although I do use something that boosts C, but it's got other things in it like B's and D and a few Minerals too.

I used to be bothered by stretch marks. I have them right above armpits and near shoulders...along with some loose skin around biceps that isn't too noticeable...but is there.

Like a previous poster said...they remind me of just how far I have come in the last few years. And the best way to counteract people looking at them: Give them some solid, lean mass to look at instead. :-)

Stretch Marks- found something that works

Post by jennifer8055 »

Hi,

I always had pretty bad stretch marks and red scars around region ever since I gave birth to three kids.I had tried Vitamin E oil and cocoa butter which a number of people had recommended but it didn't seem to work. Doctor had even suggested that I go for a Tummy Tuck. I then recently read an article about a lady who supposedly got rid of her stretch marks using a particular cream. I tried it and it worked really well. Within a couple of weeks stretch marks were very much faded and they soon disappeared You can read the lady's article at the link below.

There things you can use like Bio-oil, which is supposedly good for SM's and lessening of scarring visability.
