right after i complete sets (although a controversy) they say that stretching the muscle helps actually make it bigger due to fascia being stretched (fascia is the ahh cant remember the word but it is like a pillow case to a pillow u know?.)thus stretching the fascia supposedly will help the muscle to grow more bigger
that and i do it cause it helps relieve the stress from workingout
stretching doesn't relieve soreness...the in btw sets stretching does have merit but stretching before lifting makes you weaker so i'd rather be strong and small then big and weak

i just feel better when i do it, kinda eases on joint, allows me to keep going without joints flaring
The Army kinda makes me do it before and after a workout so when I am at home I do it naturally. But it does help when we stretch the next day I am no where near as sore if we didnt. been there done that and i feel old as shit when we dont stretch. LOl
