yes I know it must be 9ingest trough all the day, but in a day, let's say you eat 150g of protein in total on workout days, then you must have at least few meals + PWO to reach 75g after your workout.swanso5 wrote:might have been 50% of your carbs...protein needs to be ingested all through the day
Found back the article, it was written by CT and is only a personal belief from him. Not sure if it is "documented"
well you should probably have at least 2 "post" training meals with good amounts of protein and carbs
here's what i heave each day basically if i'm good:
breakfast - 6 weetbix (cerial), 350ml milk, sugar (88g carbs, 20g protein)
2 - banana, turkey breast (22/15)
3 - apple, mince (11/20)
4 - tuna, veg (5/17...i class all veg in meals as 5g even if it's not)
5 - chicken, veg (5/25)
train
pwo - protein shake x 1scoop with water, rice bubbles, milk, sugar (65/30)
pwo 2 about 30mins later sometimes straight waway depensing on when work starts back - sausages x 2, bread x 2, veg (28/20)
8 - steak, veg (5/25)
9 - fish, veg (5/15)
so as you can see 234g carbs and 197g protein with carbs at meal 1 and pwo and protein basically the same at each meal with a little more pwo1 but with both meals so close you could almost say i do have 50g post workout which is 25% i suppose
i know your numbers were only an example but if your going for 50% in these meals then it leaves little protein to be had for your other 6 - 7 meals of the day leaving you hungry

True you must not leave poor meals trough the day. Well, personally i train after breaky or after 4 meals out off 8 so I always have 50% of proteins intake post-workout.
But, let's say you train before your last meal. you won't have an as good recovery as if you workout and then you have something like 4-6 meals after. Well, not sure of this point tough.

working out at night?
I workout at night and have no problem falling sleep afterwards. The best time to workout is whenever it is possible for you to workout, which is anytime.

exercising at night
thank u all for your input and what if u don't have time to put in 6or 7 small meals how do u go about getting in the proteins u need.?

Re: working out at night?
I have to disagree. This doesn’t go across the board for everyone. There are some people who wont be able to fall asleep if they workout too close to bedtime, and I am one of them.whiteboyloser wrote:I workout at night and have no problem falling sleep afterwards. Well it all depends on the person FeeFee, each individual reacts differently. I know i haven't any problems working out at night. Its a matter of not making any excuses to not workout, and making it work for you. If working out at night is the only time you have to workout, and you choose to not workout, well, thats all on you.
