Setting up a routine
I am fairly new to lifting. I was going to a gym last year for about 5 months and had a routine set up on the machines but could no longer afford the monthly fees.
I have a straight barbell, dumbells, tricep bar, and an incline decline bench with leg / bicep curl attachments. It also allows for squats. I also have an elyptical.
I am trying to set up a routine. But since I dont have much experience I am here for help. I have looked at some of the methods posted but feel as though I cannot complete some of the exercises do to needed machines (unless there can be substiitutions.
I am currently 23 years old, , just shy of 5'6" and about 160 pounds. I am a little soft around the middle, mainly leftover from college, with little muscle definition. fiance and I eat healthy, and I know that is a big part as well.
Thanks in advance for the help.

dips - close grip bech presses
hanging leg raises - reverse crunches
seated calf raises - lye a bb on your thighs and off you go
chins - these will need to be replaced by a row variation...is there are row on this day already? and list the others in the program too

monday? thats a week from now right? hmm you might put on some unwanted weight till then. but if you wanna start up on monday, you might wanna read up and do some more research in regards to your goals and soak it all up.ride4lamar wrote:Thanks for the help...ill look at it in the AM and let you know how it is...I will be starting this program on fresh on Monday...
