fish oil

Post by mzaruba423 »

alright so i bought some fish oil from GNC and i've been taking 2 a day -- one when i wake up and one sometime in the afternoon; however, i don't exactly know what they do. can anyone explain what fish oil actually does for me and when / how much i should take each day.
currently i feel like they're making me happy and less stressed but maybe that's just because i think that's what they're for. do they have anything to do with working out?

Fish oil contains high amounts of omega-3 fatty acids. There are two types of essential fatty acids- omega-3's and omega 6's. Omega 6's which are found in corn products, increase clotting and inflammation. Omega 3's reduce clotting and reduce inflammation, which helps in recovery and joint health. It also helps reduce the progression of atherosclerosis.
