Is Peanut Butter ok for weight loss

Post by hemantbhagwat »

Just wanted to ask whether peanut butter is ok for people trying to lose weight. The one I am consuming comes contains 25% proteins 0 cholesterol and 0 trans fats. I usually spread it on brown bread.

I usually go for the natural peanut butter (the kind that has the oil on the top when you buy it) as it typically doesn't have any extra crap added to it. I've also heard that almond butter is much better for you than peanut butter... just as almonds are supposedly better for you than peanuts. Yes, nut butter can definitely be part of a healthy diet as long as you're not going overboard on it. Keep in mind that it can be quite high in calories if youre watching your caloric intake. :)
