So hungry.

Post by kif »

Hey, I've been trying to eat heaps as it helps to grow. I used to eat a fairly large amount when I didn't really feel like it (this was before I became concerned about appearance). But lately I've been losing appetite all the time even though I get really hungry. In fact, I'm hungry right now but I simply don't feel like eating. I look at food and I feel full but stomach is still telling me "feed me!"

I thought it might be laziness but I sometimes just don't feel like eating even when mum cooks now.. and I love her cooking! Now, I also feel the need to workout more as well. I used to be too lazy to work out but keen to eat, now it's the other way around. I don't get what's going on.. libido seems to be decreasing too.. I'm not as easily aroused anymore. I used to masturbate at least once a day but now I can go without for nearly 3 days now..

Could it be because I have been feeling generally unhappy?

Could be the extra activity you started doing burning more Calories.

Your Metabolism would have gotten used to the amount of Calories you ate, but when you started working out, you burn Calores and then you readjust it to need less, because it's not processing the Calories you burn.

That is probably why. It might be your meal choices, but you could be trying to eat more than your Metabolism wants, and you feel hungry, because it's using the calories it now believes it needs, and storing the extra ones as Fats.

So those Stored calories as Fats, would have been utilised by the bodies Metabolism, but not now, because the Metabolism has been adjusted to need less, so it views those calories it is now not using as excess, and is converting them to Fat.

Particularly if quite a few of those calories were from Protein, as Protein makes you feel full and properly sated, so you don't feel the need to overeat daily.

So what you'll need to potentially do, is change your Macronutrient, (Protein / Carb / Fat), ratios, and possibly lower caloric intake slightly, to cut down Fat conversion.

That's quite a bit to take in, lol. So are you recommending more protein in diet and possibly a little less fat and carbs?

Not exactly no. I'm saying if your Metabolism has been readjusted, because you started working out, it could develop a need for less Calories, as it's not been processing the ones you burn.

So continuing to eat the same Calories as before, means some will have become excess calories, and might cause Fat conversion, as your Metabolism won't want to use them anymore.

You might be feeling less sated than you used to, if a lot of the calories you now store, are from Protein, but that's just a supposition of mine, not something I can say with great accuracy. You might be storing mostly Carbs.

All this was originally a possibility based on your post. I can't say with 100% accuracy, this is the reason for you losing appetite, just something I felt it could be.

Hopefully you better understand what I just wrote.
