Just wanted to share =)

Post by Nokie173 »

I usually hate shopping! Epecially trying on clothes because it gets me depress!
Why? Usually I seem to keep getting bigger sizes and the original sizes keep on getting tighter!

Recently friends, coworkers and fiancé keep on telling me to SHOP for new pants because it’s falling off!

Since I’ve been on healthy diet plan I have not shopped and last weekend was first time since then…

It felt Damn good!!! :D

pant size we down to 1 digit now… I’ve always had to wear 2 digits size pants!

I even went to the junior section and looked for their jeans… god… I fit!!!

Just wanted to share that story because I was getting pissed.
The stupid scale haven’t been going down..
I should be happy it hasn’t been going up either!

When I measured myself… it didn’t change... But I guess I will continue to work hard and be patient!

So yeah… its been years since I felt this great about myself and just wanted to share! :D :D :D

Awesome job Nokie! You have given me renewed hope that I can someday (if I continue to work hard and stay focused) get back into 1 digit sized jeans. They've been waiting for me in the back of closet for about 7 years now..... they probably aren't even in style anymore!
Good job girl!! Keep it up!

Yes, Nokie I understand EXACTLY what you mean. Sometimes others actually seem offended or think I am trying to be "better" than them when I try to request healthy options when dining out, or if I talk about workouts and what I am doing to get healthier. I have pretty much been labeled the "fitness nut", etc.
But you know what? That's okay! Because I know what I am doing is best for me. And it is hard sometimes when family or friends pressure us, or tease us (dessert anyone? Oh yeah, that's right, you can't have any...cause you're on a diet), but you just gotta know that what you are doing is the right thing and stick to it. You are seeing the results of all your hard work, and that makes it all worthwhile!
The support system here is something that I have never had before and it is really making a difference!
We can all be each other's cheerleaders, encouragers and support team.

Lynne, People are like that with me too! "Oh that's right you can't have any because you're on a diet" I just giggle and tell them I'll trade that pie for some sugar free jello and a new belt! I wink at them and move around throughout the kitchen while they're serving it.

If you're here on shapefit it's not because you needed help finding a "diet" that will work for you, it's because you've taken the first step to create a new life for yourself!

Nokie we are here for your support and encouragement. I am SO proud of you! When I get back into old jeans I'm going to be stylin like it's 2000! (last time I could fit some of them lol!)

I don't need an excuse to go shopping but I'll take one if I can get it ;)

Just reading your story a bit, and seeing the weight you have rejected, and not allowed to stay on your body. Thats an awesome accomplishment. You should be very proud of what you have done. Stick with it, don't give up. Keep searching for the next improvement you can make to get the scale to drop again. Single digits rock....GR8 job.....

Thanks again guys/gals…… :D :D :D
You don’t know how much it means to me to have so much positive response back!

Really... why do people tend to hate? I mean… some people just make stupid and/or rude comments…
Like you’re staving yourself? Or taking diet pills? Or another another "diet"
They can’t just accept that it’s pure hard work and dedication!!!

I deal with this almost everyday and sometimes… I brush it off… at times... I’m already struggling and their comments actually get me! BOO!!!!

Once again… THANK YOU ALL so much for the encouragement!! :D

Most of the people that say unkind or negative things are probably just miserable and deep down just mad at themselves for their own lack of control and/or inability to do the very thing that YOU are doing! You remind them of what they should be but aren't doing. They don't want to accept that it is pure hard work and dedication because they cannot or will not commit to doing the same. So try not to take it personal.
When people ask me if I'm on "another diet" I just tell them no, it is not a diet, it is a permanent decision to choose healthier eating options. There is no going back.

Don't worry about it Nokie. It doesn't matter what others say, just remember they are in the minority and theie words do not represent the truth about your situation, or represent the majority, who feel warmly towards you and your goals and achievements.

You have given yourself the chance to have that positive reception of your actions, by being around people that care, and want the best for you.

You have shown so often, what you mean to this site and others, and we would always give some of that positivity back to you.

Forget the narrow minded few, that don't think enough. You're doing great and have every reason to be proud of yourself. You're a true Lady, and a great part of this site.

Keep up the hard work, keep smiling, and be proud of yourself. You have earned that right, and plenty of people here are proud of you, and like you for everything you are :).
