... but I want to tell someone!

I just bought a size of jeans that I haven't worn since high school...

and yesterday own brother didn't recognize me at first (he hasn't seen me in 4 months, since I started lifestyle change). :)

Gonna keep going! But it's nice to have stepping stones of progress.

Good for you - you should be proud and want to shout it out! :)

I love your dedication (read your profile) to making your workouts and overall health a lifetime priority. I too recently made the decision to a lifetime of healthy eating and working out - it just took me a lot longer.

Keep in touch - let US here know how you are doing - we all care!

own wife HATES to hear about workouts or progress, so I can understand. You have to be proud though, after all...you're the one putting in all the effort!

So, GOOD JOB!

You deserve every ounce of credit for your hard work.

When I started seriously working out 5 months ago I was wearing 34 waist size jeans... After a couple of months I had to buy 32 waist size jeans and thought I would not go lower... since I had never been lower than 32 in entire life...!

I just bought 3 pairs of size 31 and it feels wonderful, but now I'm scared I might drop down to 30! :D

It feels soooo great to see results!

Cheers!

It seems like people around me are tired if hearing it also but come up. It's a heck of an accomplishment to do what we have. It's hard not to be proud.

I have went from 225 to 192 so far with 12 more to go. I was on the verge of 38s. 36s were getting pretty tight. I have bought any new jeans yet but I had an old pair of 34s that would not even button up and now they are lose.

I did buy a belt.

Agreed, don't hold back your excitement just because others don't want to hear it. Be proud that you've made a change and followed it through. Good job! :D

Oh yes, I have been on new lifestyle for 11 weeks now. Although I have been getting a lot of compliments I feel most people do not want to hear about fitness. They tell me I am crazy for getting up at 4:30 a.m. to work-out and try to get me to eat foods that are no longer on menu. They come up with all kinds of excuses why they can't exercise. Number one being time. Imagine that! Telling me, a mom with 4 kids and a full-time crazy job that you have no time to exercise!! I just laugh cause it is sooo lame! People are intimidated by us. That is a fact!! That is why we can band together here. It is so exciting talking to people from all around the world about their fitness goals and achievements. Thank you, Shapefit members!!! :D

I got a good one for you that just heard today. I ran into a cousin of mine last week and talked to her for a few minutes.

She sees mom the other day and asked her if there is something wrong with me. If I was sick or something because I have lost a lot of weight. :D

Went from 225 to 189 so far. Only nine more to go and then I hope to put about 10 worth of muscle back on.

Wevie, I am so happy for you! I have read some of your threads and I know you have been working hard. Yeah, people think if you lose weight that you are sick or starving yourself. I have to tell them that I eat more meals then they do in a day!! Lol. I have already had three meals by the time I get to work at 8:30 a.m. while they are still throwin down their first meal. Usually a bagel or cereal bar. No protein. It takes all I have not to enlighten them with all of the knowledge I have learned here! They will not listen. They will just complain about being overweight, out of shape and tired all the time. Wow, I had to let that out!! lol. Anyway, keep up the good work. I am where you are. 10 lbs (the hardest!) to lose and building muscle. We can do it!!!!! :D
