Getting fit & loosing weight

Post by dan00 »

Hey Guys just wondering, when starting to get fit can u start off with walking on a treadmill at speed of 5-6 km/h?? for an hour. then say after 1-2 weeks increase the speed? or would using "HiT" be better? do 5km/h for 2-3minutes then bump it up to say 8km/h for 2-3 minutes then keep switching from 5 & 8km/h??

i want to get fit and loose weight, im about 195cm tall not sure in feet that is. and about 120kg and 18 years old. i have a little gym thing at home it consists of a treadmill the speeds on that is 1km/h to 16km/h...
excersice bike
epileptical trainer
rowing machine (one of the old school ones)
and a bench press.

diet is:

breakfest: dont really eat breakfast

lunch: couple of ham sandwiches with saled, or cheese on toast

tea: mixxed vegitables. peas, carrots, patatoe, cabbage etc etc, and for the meat, normally sasagues or steak or chicken, different meat w/e mum cooks really haha somes times its pie and chips or lesanuge.

also at the bottom of propert is an 8km or so dirt track :P

if someone could work me out a routine or something it would be really appreciated.

thanx in advance :P

first dont SKIP breakfast its the meal you need in the morning to get your metabolism up and running, why do you think its the most important meal of the day, make it have protein, a few carbs and no or little fats.HIIT is great for weight loss thats how i lost 70 pounds in 7 months with any diet pills or nothing just plain diet and exercise.yes walking is a good contribute to fitness depending on how much and long you walk.honestly if your heavy use a epileptical trainer because using a treadmill can mess up your joints since your heavy thats maybe the only worst con of a treadmill. hope this helps anymore questions feel free to ask.
