Swanso im afraid that is all part and parcel of nursing. I will change your tip to if you have to wipe somebodys bottom, do it properly please. Its all about patient care and respect.

I pretend every patient is someone close to me and therefore, treat them all special.

By the way, there is much more to nursing then wiping bottoms. Doctors make the main decisions but its us nurses that have to carry out all the care. Its also us nurses who take the wrap for any mistakes.

Oh theres another tip. It no disrespect at all to doctors as i admire them greatly but never trust anyone. Double check everything. If a doctor writes a prescription wrong, the nurse is the one who administers it. So who do you think faces the mob if its wrong?? :(

I bet she does. Is she a nurse hater or lover? You get both. :)

Things some Doctors apparently do.

1. Do rectal examinations, then don't wash their hands.

2. Do rectal temperature checks, then use the same Thermometer for normal oral checks, without washing it.

3 Receive free stuff like notepads and pens off drug companies, because it's often an attempt to persuade them, to prescribe the companies drugs more often. Some of the free stuff has specific drug names on it and some Doctors may conceivably take the bait.

Ooops did I say that last one, err guess I did

WELL DONE. I always thought you could do it. I know the sort of person you are, and the way you've been around here, so you deserve a good life, because you've always tried to be good to others and put others first sometimes.

You've got a damn good heart misses, so look after it and keep making the most of it. You have every right to be truly proud of the person you are, as you have great human qualities, a brilliant attitude to people and a very warm and caring personality.

Our healthcare system needs more people like you, and I hope whatever happens, you never lose sight of why you wanted to do this from the start.

Keep your chin up, VERY BEST WISHES, and keep on being you, because it helps to validate the true meaning if the word human, and you definitely deserve a wonderful and happy life, for you and your Son.

WELL DONE again. You've made me smile inside.

Whatever happens, we will always be here for you, and we will always value and appreciate your knowledge, understanding, compassion, empathy, and heart-warming nature.

Good on you misses :).

Hey everyone. Its been awhile. I feel like i have fallen off the wagon and need to get back on.

Since qualifying and starting new job things have been hectic and i have been shattered which has led to me only working out twice and sometimes only ONCE a week. Food hasnt been too bad except for the times i can go all day without a break and then pig out when i get home.

Ive kinda found solution for that problem and have been taking a stash of quick snacks in bag ie, sandwich, banana, peach, oat bar, nuts etc etc

Anyway the working out is still a problem due to time, or lack of it. Just getting to the gym and back takes over an hour. So i decided i will try hard to get to the gym as much as poss but for emergencies i have dusted off tae bo dvds, bought a mini trampoline and a new workout mat for at home and im gonna try to do SOMETHING when i havent time for the gym.

Im really gonna try to log more as i havnt logged a workout etc for months!!!

I honestly need to do this. Im up to 123lbs which isnt bad i guess but i can feel it in body. butt feels too wobbly and im sure i can see some cellulite around butt and thighs!!! Arghhhh!!!

Be harsh with me people please and keep me on track. Off to work soon but gonna do some core exercises and some squats, lunges and general bodyweight exercises for 20 min. Might even have a little bounce on trampoline. Haha.

Ha ha.Yeah right. I cannot be responsible for giving people nightmares. Anyway ive done terrible today. Bummer.

I had sugary cereal for breakfast asnothing else in and no time to shop. Lean ham on wholemeal bread and a peach for lunch (ok not bad). Then managed a 5 min break at work so ate some salad leave and cherry tomatoes and a slice of peanut butter on toast!!!

It gets worse, i finished work at 9pm but didnt get in till 10 and other half had bought me half chips/half rice and curry sauce from the chip shop.

I only ate half but its still a disgrace. Tasted awesome tho!
Exercise - obviousely on feet all day at work but i made myself walk the last 20 mins to work and did a quick 20 min workout (trampoline + body weight exercises and some free weights) before work.

Please please shame me into becoming the way i used to be again. This blip is turning into a habit. :x

All I can say is, don't get a fat Arse, some of the elderly patients might die of shock .

Plus you'll have trouble using some of the equipment, if you end up with chubby Fingers.
