this shocked me

Post by rockchick_82808 »

Well mom and I messed up the time for our dance class. We thought it was 7 but turned out 2 be 530. Oops. So I talked her into going to a yoga class with me. We had some time to kill so I went on the crossramp for 15 min and burned 200 cal. (Go me!). Then we went to class. During it mom had to stop it was too much for her. It was an hr and 15 min long. First time ever going and the only part I had a hard time with was the ending bc she went pretty fast through the moves. After it was all said and done I found out it was an advanced class! Ha! I'm in better shape than I thought. Talk about another bonus suprise this week I'm lovin it! :D

Well this week has been good. Despite the fact I'm feeling the burn after the burn lol. I've been working hard to keep up with the classes. I'm already feeling a change. Today I go in to check strength and flexibility. I'm nervous. Its gonna be harsh. I almost don't want to go, but I know I have to. Its like this gym I go to is co- and I have to push self to go because of getting looked at by the guys I always wonder if they think to themselves "why is that fat chick here?" I try very hard to put it behind me. As long as I have mp3 player it helps me enter another world and ignore whats around me. I just keep telling myself that eventually I will meet long term goal. Shit I reached size 14 that I hoped for in January so I need to learn to shut up in discouraging myself. Thank god for this site with people to keep head high. Thank you everyone!!!!!

Now, you know that is not true! Don't allow those negative thoughts to invade your mind. Those guys that are looking at you, trust me, are NOT thinking why is that fat chick here....I am sure they are appreciating the hard work you are doing, that in itself is sexy and attractive! They are most likely thinking "Dang, that girl over there with the mp3 player is lookin' GOOD!" And they are probably wishing their spouse or significant other was there at the gym doing what you are doing. So next time you notice one of them glancing ur way...you just flash them that beautiful smile of yours and keep on working out! They will probably be so shook up, they will trip and fall right over their weight bench!! LOL! :D A woman (or man!) who takes care of their bodies and works hard at improving themselves is giving off positive energy, attractive energy - not negative or bad. So..get those thoughts out of ur head once and for all!!!

Thank you for you kind and uplifting words. I always had a low self esteem. Its nothing like what it use to be back in the day but it still lingers. It always helps to have someone help you along the way. Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. :D

Ha ha! Never seen the neck one before...to be honest it sounds scary.

Ok well I'm back from the gym here's graphical summary.

>Bmi:obese class 1.
>Cardiovascular is fair.
>Bicep strength:good(only 12 pts from excellent!)
>Sit and reach:poor
>Body composition:very high
>over all fitness:fair(1pt from avg. Errr.)

Overall body age:29. Umm...yeah I'm 21 this sucks. Lol.

I have another apt. Next tues. To go over on a plan for me. She said to continue cardio untill next week and take yoga 3 days a wk. I don't mind that but its gonna be hard bc what I work is always changing (retail). So if I can make the class I will for sure go.

Up side I was right about what goal weight should be at 160-170 because of muscle mass. lean body mass is 131.1. Ny fat mass is 85.9lbs. I have a long ways to go that's for sure. :( as long as I keep doing the good work like I have I should be fine.

You don't need to ever feel discouraged. Just look at yourself. You have already progressed from an overweight teenager to a healthier and definitely more beautiful young Lady.

You look absolutely glowing and so much more radient for the things you have done.

You deserve to be proud of yourself, because you HAVE been making good things happen, and it will take time, but as others will tell you, you ARE capable of doing this, and you ARE worth the time you are taking, to make the changes you deserve to have.

This is not about anyone making you feel, as if you're second rate, or not good enough, to fit into a world of people, many of whom might look athletic, healthy and glamorous. This is about you DESERVING to be amongst other like minded people, and if any of them, make you feel second rate, then they are the ones who are second rate, by nature of their attitude.

Your attitude to us has always been exemplorary, and I'm sure you're making people proud of you. So don't worry, keep going and WELL DONE so far. You're a great person and you deserve a great life :).

That before / now comparison is really great as well, and I think you are beginning to highlight yourself as a rolemodel, with your attitutde to others, and attitude to yourself :).

I love complements!

Post by rockchick_82808 »

I had a customer come in the other day and tell me how much I have changed. He didn't shop at our store since January because of the construction we had. Anyways, He told me face was thinner, and he even asked me what it was I'm doin. lol!!! Its funny because I didn't realize myself how much I had lost (untill last week when I posted measurements) because the scale didn't really change. Its nice to see people notice even tho I didn't lol. Even if he had a thing for me I don't care because I got a complement! Rotfl! :D

amazed!

When I was in the gym this older lady had to be late 50' maybe early 60's had guns larger than mine! She could kick !!!! She was even doin pull ups!!!!! Now thats what I want to look like...maybe not as buff but I can't even do a pull up now for crying out loud. lol. Any who, today was appointment for new workout for the next 12weeks and goal heart rate. she set me up with the following:

all of these have three sets of 15 reps except the plank pose.

squats:90lbs
calf extensions
curl ups:20lbs
lateral lift:10lbs
chest fly: 15lbs
hs high rolls: 20lbs (this works the shoulders and upper back. funky looking name for it)
tricep ext: 10lbs
plank pose: 1min 3 sets

She then gave me a cardio sheet. It shows peak levels of heart rate for warm up, interval segment, then cool down. at highest point i need to be at 160-176. Sounds worse then it is I actually hit 174. I have to do that once a week for 60min. weights plus 30min of cardio 3 times a week. Damn is gonna get kicked! lol plus yoga classes on top of it!!!! ugh. lol

Best way to keep me motivated is I will loose weight at a better pace. Granted I lost weight this year but now that I have help at the gym its going to go be so much better for me. I'm pumped!!!! Hopefully by next summer I can be close to beach body. I just want to be able to shop at a normal store instead of having to go to a swim place and have suit special made because boobs are so damn big!!!! Its fricken expensive!!! It cost over a hundred dollars to make the top!!!!! I'm a clearance girl so that kind of money makes me want to faint!!! Rotfl!

Thanks girls! I will post more for sure. I'm gonna be brave today and go try on a size 14 in jeans. They usually run smaller than work pants but work pants are a lil baggy now so I'm gonna be a dare devil and see what happens. Lol. I was too chicken to do it at the time I knew I went down a dress size a while ago.
