Rookie at strength training......any help would be great

The weights are 12.5lbs and of course on pully system. Is there any way to figure out what the weight equivalent is?
equivalent to what??

here is one i found from a different machine...dont know if its the same as mine but is talking about using 12.5 lb weight plates.

i don't know what that chart is meant to mean...each plate weights 12.5pds than that's what your lifting...it doesn't matter what exercise you do it's always gonna be the same

i think you already know that though

no swanso....sorry...i didnt know that...and it still makes no sense to me. I bought the machine last year and was told there was some 300 plus pounds of resistance......with there only being 12 weights at 12.5lbs each...and a chart.... natural assumption was that the pulleys must play a role in what the weight feels like.... mistake i guess......sorry for asking such a silly question

well 12 plates at 12.5pds only equates to 130 odd pds...where's the extra 200???

some exercises will feel heavier / harder than others because of leverage and inertia like side raises where you'd be lucky to do 1 set with the lightest wt probably...

it doesn't really matter what the wt actually is, just gradually increase it and you'll be

You are pretty much there.. but might need to change the order of your routine and food too. Came across good tips at http://www.abssixpack.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; see whether it helps.
