How to lose weight: is stopping food ingestion the key?

Post by price »

There is much news nowadays about celebrities who are going through a bulimic or anorexic phase in their lives. Olsen twin, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie and many others have increased their fame by these acts. Who blames them though? These types of behaviors are a sickness. It is 100% true that you will lose weight if you stop eating or if you throw up after doing so since you are not giving an amount of calories to your body. The question here is if it is healthy to do so and I am sure that most of you know the answer. NO!
Stopping the food ingestion is very dangerous; your life can be lost in the way. Be careful with what you choose to do in order to lose weight, I know many of you might be depressed or feel really uncomfortable with your appearance but the best way to go through it is a healthy way of living. When someone stops eating the calorie ingestion stops and the body starts to save nutrients since it waits for a time without food; however, as the body wasn’t ready it will still be burning fat as the body needs in order to complete all of the functions that are necessary to keep you alive and it will result in weight loss and many other things that were not as wanted such as anemia.
Believe it or not, they key to a successful weight loss is eating. Stop the snacks the chocolates, dips and sodas and exchange them for fruits, vegetables, water and a daily exercise, change your lifestyle and you will definitely know the difference. Changes will happen if you are healthier, do not be so desperate to find them immediately though, everything has its time.

Great post you are so right about that. I have friends that are trying to loose and the 1st thing they do is stop eating and I explain that food is not the enemy but what and how much you eat is. Some get it and most don't I have given up and worry only about myself now.

Actually...I think having A LITTLE chocolate a day is okay. I've read and heard a lot of things...and eating one bar, or something is okay...and there is ALWAYS dark choco!

So for choco fans is just limiting the amount, but no cutting!

But def good post!

if you're serious about losing wt thyen ditch chocolate...if you're not mentally strong enough to do so you'll struggle

chocolate isn't gonna make you fat by itself, but it 's not making leaner either is it?

i'm 3 weeks into a 4 week fat loss plan where bi haven't deviated an ounce with the training and food

training - 9 sessions a week with 1 day off so 9 sessions in 6 days really...2 a day for 3 of those days

food - no bread, cerial, started with fruit but have now taken it out, no rice, pasta (don't eat them anyway), potato (chips, mash or otherwise), milk shakes, chocolate or pastries...you name i haven't had it

the results?

5.5kgs (12+pds) in 4 weeks and 6 days on an already moderately lean body...not muscle either...lost 7cms from the waist (2 1/2 inches)

this is what it takes

once you get lean enough then ou bring those foods back in as hopefully you'll recognise how hard you need to train and how good you need to eat to get results and you'll stick with it

Well, I don't eat chocolate almost at all, maybe twice a month or so...

But do you mean that if I stop having all of these things for sometime, to just get lean, the n go back to it...I'll stay lean? ...I'm abit confused.

Plus what you're doing is probably your goal plan....everyone would have different ones. For me, at the moment I just want to look better, and not necessarily the best abs or body...but I also would like to have muscles along the way....I don't want to stress body by having a low carb diet...I lack a lot of energy in general...and get dizzy a lot because I didn't eat enough good foods...
