*So fiancé for some reason out of no where… He wants to be fit & healthy again. (I think nagging got to him… or maybe not….) Let me tell you he “looks” fit and skinny… but he is so not healthy!!! Eating deep fried EVERYTHING… We had a conversation about steroids. He was interested in using it to help him get started. I told him… to work on his diet and workout with me again! (Long story short, he got injured jumping off the roof!!! So he hasn’t been working out) at the end of our conversation… He will NOT use steroids… instead he will do some research and use something else… sigh! I will post on another forum regarding his ideas and supps so he can come here and read people’s comment himself. journal is for me and goals. :P

I should think so too. Even if he wanted to, he's almost certainly not ready.

You learned a lesson today by gambling. Avoid anything with the word Chips in it, as it's often a bad omen, or not good for you

Tell him that steroids will SHRINK his BALLS. That oughta discourage him from using them. A while back fiances friend was asking me about roids... wanting to know where to get them and whatnot (as if I know! LOL! I must be so buff that I LOOK like I'm on roids.) Kidding. Anywayssss this guy hasn't been to the gym in YEARS and wasn't even really considering working out very hard or changing his diet. Just wanted to jump straight to the roids for some instant gratification. I told him that changing his diet and working out hard will get him much further than taking the roids. PLUS with diet and exercise he doesn't have to worry about ball shrinkage or the other side effects. Good job Nokie on setting your man straight! I have no doubt that hes been inspired by YOU and your awesome work ethic and amazing progress.

With that said... girl you need more fruit and veggies in your diet. I bet if you added 1 piece of fruit or veggie to each meal your "little issue" would get better.

No to Creatine. Just getting diet and training right is not enough really. If he was more seasoned and stuck at the task for 18 months, 2 years +, so he had some good lean size, he would then have more strength and power to work with to hopefully make Creatine work better for him.

I love that! Us women... we're so smart. We let men think that they are in control... meanwhile we're totally running the show the whole time. Muahahahahahaha (thats evil laugh in case you didn't catch that).

Nokie the list looks really good! Lentils are an awesome source of fiber! I would start with the fruit or veggie with every meal and see if that helps. Did you say you're taking a fiber supplement? If not you might try that if you can't get it fixed with the added fruit and veggies. Keep me posted! (Yes as odd as it is I am concerned about this enough to want to know if it "all comes out ok". LOL!). Also don't forget water water water. Shoot for a gallon a day if possible.

Yes, Cassie.. I take Fiber supplements to help (Benefiber) Also Iron supps.
I do drink tons of water not sure if it's a gallon but I'll aim for that.
I will make a fruit basket at home and make sure i'll put it by the door before i'm out of the house
I eat too much carbs and too little fruits & veggies sometimes.
family only eat meat & sticky rice...
It's pretty hard trying to change out of that habit unless I prepare food ahead of time.
I'll let you know how things "comes out"...

7:30AM – Banana, coffee
9AM - Egg substitute x1/2c, wheat toast x1
12PM - Brown rice, teriyaki grilled chicken breast, bowl full of steam veggies, VERY mango salad.
2:30PM – White rice, grilled chicken
6PM – edamame, steam veggies & grilled chicken
9:30PM – Protein shake

*This week is going to be a challenge!
Tuesday – 2:30-6PM (Work#1 company holiday party)
Thursday – 11AM – 2PM (Work #1 department potluck)
Friday - 4:30-9PM (Work#2 department potluck – work & eat!!!)

***Saturday (really really really challenging)
Party with fiancé’s family… They are great people and all… but it’s always hard.
I don’t want to disrespect them by not eating their fatty food or not drink a whole bottle of hard liquor.
However, I need no excuses so I will be picky with what I will eat.

I remembered when we first started dating…I was always compared to his ex-girlfriend.
She was a skinny girl who eats 1,100 calories or less.
She likes to do only cardio (she was pretty bony and fragile looking)
She was stylish because she could wear anything she wants.
She had cleared face with lots of make up on.
Compared to me, I’m overweight, pimple face, and really plain (T-shirt, pants & no make up with braces!)

The first X-mas party with them was bad….It hurt so much I ate and drank a lot!!! Of course that didn’t help with the situation. The sad part was that... it was all talked behind back. fiancé shouldn’t have told me before the party! I think sometime that year, I used those negative vibes to motivate me to workout harder. It only lasted a few months…. Then I lost that motivation and gained. Anyways, I’m glad it’s better now, although the wounds are still there. Every time I have to go to one of the party… I always get nervous. The last one, I got compliments… so that was a good thing.

I told myself… people will always criticize you. The way you look, walk or talk.
I can’t stop them from comparing… its part of human nature to gossip! However, I wanted to change for myself and health. Who cares about the ex. She has nothing to do with overall health! What I have learned is that…. No matter what, no one can make you do things or change. Its you, who have to make the changes. They can only help you so much and for so long. Even though I used those negativities to motivate me… I didn’t go anywhere. But when I wanted to make changes to health for myself… I was way more productive…. And now I’m getting compliments. Anyways, he is with me for who I am not how I look. Besides, I’m honest and faithful (I don’t cheat!) So… we are happy! I wished the family can be happy for us too….

NO GYM – Have a doc appt for lung test. The next test might be for allergies

It felt good today to finally go to the gym and workout without worrying if I can breath or not.
breathing is better and I feel comfortable enough to do some intensive workout again.
I can see I'm not as motivated as I should be.
I sneak in sweets here and there... Its tough.. but i'm trying.. I only has 1 or 2... NOT a full plate of it.
After reading a few journals and Cassie's interview with Bossman... I surely feel I need to work harder.
I'm slacking off and I know i'm making excuses...
However, i have been sick and I had to make sure I was fine before i continue to do intensive workout.
But eating habit is bad... No more parties tho... Tomorrow is the day.. I'll deal with the soon to be in-laws....

8AM – Banana, ibuprofen x1 (800mg) – migraines
1:30PM – Grilled ham, steam veggies
4:30PM – Grilled chicken wrap
6:30PM – 2AM – Party (fiancé family xmas)
(Korean noodles, BBQ chicken, steam beef, steam rice, pasta, soup, cup cake)
Threw up everything I ate and BAM... migraines again!
Finally home sweet home at 5AM! (3 hours drive – I drove  )

I didn’t eat much... What I wrote down was for throughout the night/morning small bites at a time… I couldn’t eat much really because of a tight dress. The first half of the food... I threw up… Once I let stomach rest and drank some carbonated water… I felt better and slowly had some soup.

I hope the relatives don’t think I throw up food because that’s not me. I usually am a good eater and it stays in stomach. The only time I do throw up food is when I’m drunk or have migraines. I wasn’t drunk because I didn’t touch any alcohol. :D

Anyways… I was already nervous how that night will be. I already picked an outfit (black!) It makes me feel a bit thinner. However, fiancé wanted me to be more festive because I always wear black. He tried to encourage me by saying… I lost a bit of weight. Wear something a bit tighter to show “curves”… (I always wear loose black clothing… LoL.. that’s just me.)
I called mom… informed her I might late going over Sunday because I’m going to a party. You know what mom said??? You better stop wearing black pants and shirt. You are not going to a funeral... you’re going to a party and put some make up on. You look so plain. I finally went to closet with full loads of make up stuff from people as gifts. I haven’t even opened some of them…
So I rushed to the store last min and found me this nice red dress. The hanger said it was size M/L… I didn’t have time to try it on and guess what?? It was on super duper sale. It was 50% off, extra 20%, and then 10%... at the end… I got it for under $10!!!! How cool is that!!!!! – No returns!

The time I got home and ready to get change… It was tighter than I anticipated. I thought it would still be a bit loose. So, of course I looked at the dress size and it was a “S”… SMALL!!!!!   Holy crap! I mean...I fit but just tight… It shows a bit way too much. chest was sticking out and it was wrapping around butt. Of course when fiancé walked in and saw me… telling me I looked HOT because it shows all curves... uh no, that means... it shows all FAT with it! And I can’t return that tiny dress! It’s fault completely… I didn’t take the time to try it on and didn’t look at the dress size itself.

I did wear the dress that night… with black Retro Footless tights and black cardigans. Everybody thought I looked “stylish” and everybody said I lost “A LOT” of weight. They were surprised I had some make up on. Many of the sister in-laws came up to me and asked how I did it. I told them… I work with weights and I go to the gym 5 times a week and workout about 45mins. They made comments how much they hate weights. I told them to work on their diets as I am learning and working on it too. They told me, I should wear some make up often because I look nice. Oh man… why can’t I look nice without it??? Anyways… throughout the whole night, I had one problem… The dress was sooo freaking tight… I couldn’t eat much!!!! And throwing up food because of a stupid migraine didn’t help. :?

Other than that… That night was a motivator. No, not about the make up… but workout harder. Yes, I want to be able to wear a nice dress without worrying it being too tight or worry it will show fat. I want to be more comfortable with clothes and body. I will work harder and since I feel 100% better… breathing is in control now… So, no excuses… I WILL WORK HARD FOR MYSELF!!!

Okay, where do I start? lol! Well, first of all I'm sorry you are having migraines. I am plagued with these occasionally too, and i know all about that nauseous, sick, throwing up stuff...I also get the temporary "flashing light" blindness right before the pain comes...no fun when you are trying to drive home from work!!

Way to go Mom! Sometimes we need a little push to step it up a bit...it's hard to hear, but meant with love :D

favorite thing on the planet is to find a great sale and buy something I would normally walk away from for next to nothing! Awesome score Nokie!!
As far as it being a small..you know what? Look at it positively...YOU WERE ABLE TO WEAR IT!
Nokie173 wrote: chest was sticking out and it was wrapping around butt.
(uhhh...that's a good thing Nokie!) And your man thought you looked HOT! And I have no doubt you did...you are SO hard on yourself. Listen to your fiance and your friends...for they see you as you are, they can see the changes that you don't see.
Nokie173 wrote:uh no, that means... it shows all FAT with it!
Funny how no one else but you saw it that way. Everyone can see your beauty, both outwardly and inwardly, so try not to be so hard on yourself...you have come a long way and improved your self so much...just think your sister-in-laws were commenting on your new appearance and you set such a great example by telling them exactly how you made those changes...working out 5 times a week - what a positive influence you are to those ladies!
Keep it up girl, don't sweat the small stuff, you are doing great, and just remember since you can't take the dress back, then it's a good thing that you TOTALLY ROCKED THAT OUTFIT! :D :D
