Few questions about muscles gain

Post by skully »

1- How long does it take on average person (female and ) to gain 0.5kg of muscles? A week, months...etc? Yes, I realize factors like age, diet, exercise...etc all taken into consideration...but on an average basis?

2- What happens when you stop exercising your muscles for a few months?
- Do they become sort of flabby muscles that MAY look like fat?

3- Does Muscles convert to fat at any point?

1- sucky to know, but it is possible to gain 0.5 kgs in about 2 week? Because weight is back to 54.0, but i have lost an inch from waist and hips as opposed to 2 weeks before...

2- So the skin doesn't, meaning it looks like you still have the muscles or...it's just look smaller again?

3- That's good to hear...I've heard a lot of crap about this....so I wasn't sure.

1 - that could happen

2 - no, you have more/stretched skin but less muscle under it so it 'sags"...this is what happens to old bodybuilders

it depends on your genetics body type( ectomorph mesomorph or endomorf) and many things...
in 2 weeks there wont be any much difference except your water level. if we think about muscle gain. but you should at least do your routine in opinion and experience- with high quality protein diet, 6 monnths to see the difference.
once you ve started you wont have chance to quit this routine. it botheres you. so that will be the poriton of your life. but if you quit, you ll get as fat as regulr guy there is only one different you have. muscle memory.. after you quit then start the rutin again you ll get shorter the old shape.
unless you use steroids you wont have any problem with muscle loose or hang. it wont turn to fat

Dear Eran,

Hm..I am not sure if you figured this out, but I'm a female. I don't use any steroids and those stuff, but I use a protein shake after muscles workout. I'm not looking to be really big or anything, but have good amount of muscles which are defined really...that's only goal. For what's it's worth I'm short as it is! 157

Actually, 2 years ago, when I seriously started working out, I had those...but I'm not a big fan of taking supplements like that anymore. It did help me actually, but I rather stick to natural choices....if you know any foods that contain that ingredient will be great!

Thanks,

Thank you!

I know for sure that I do not want to give body anything that I KNOW I cannot keep up with overtime. Protein shake, I can handle, any other supplements, I doubt it really.

Protein contains Canritine, as part of it's structure converts to Carnitine, os no need ot supplement with it.

Fat burners of any kind are at best next to useless, worst case dangerous, or potentially fatal. Hydroxycut anyone?

1.it all depends on your body type, what program your on, and if your eating right, getting proper rest and lifting weights the right way.

2.no they wont become flabby and look like fat, i had a friend that had to stop working out for 3 months cause he got in a fight and messed up his wrist, his muscles looked the same after 3 months just not defined cause he might have gained some fat cause he didnt workout as much just for soccer.

3.no it does not.

any more questions feel free to ask

Thanks for the info. Because I stopped training for quite a long time really...about 4 months (proper workouts), and arms were the same, but muscles felt much weaker, if not smaller as well.

So if someone stops working out their muscles completely, what happens?

And what happens if the person got the muscles they want, size, definition..etc..and do not want to increase weights...etc., what do you suggest to do? Keep working on with the last weights they're happy with?

if they just stop working out completely they will gain fat but will keep there muscle there just not gonna be much definied, big, and they might not have as much strength as they had before.

i suggest they just work with weights that there happy but do exercises that your bodies already is use to
