Using Fat Burner even when you're not fat?

Post by xxchrisxx »

I've been working for almost 9 months now & am trying to gain size. I've definitely gotten bigger but the thing is , instead of gaining muscle mass i noticed i also gained some fat, especially around the abdomen area. 6 pack is not as prominent as before. I was thinking of taking fat burner," Ultimate Nutrition Ultra Ripped" to be exact. Any info/review about the product would be great. Would that help me to lose fat & not backfire by losing muscle mass? If there's anything you'd like to know more please do ask, thanks. I'll be waiting for replies. :)

Fat Burners are at best useless if they're herbal and worst dangerous if they're chemical.

Avoid them at all cost.

They contain other things as well. If they're Ephedra free, they may still contain the synthetic alternative Ephedrine.

They may also contain herbal ingredients that might interfere with medications.

Bascially though they're a waste of money.

The main problem is, most people make lifestyle changes, then take a Fat Burner. This means the changes could make the magic happen and the F B might do next to nothing.

They say they should be taken in conjunction with a calorie controlled diet, as if they do nothing when you don't. Fact is, they would still nreak down in vivo and do something. It's like a Doctor telling you you can't eat Fray Bentos pies, otherwise your Lipitor won't work. Doctors could only say you must stay off things, if for example you had an IBD and you liked Wheat. Otherwise they can only advise.

I can tell you now practically none if anyone, could tell you how much extra weight the pills helped them lose, or how much quicker it took, because as soon as you add other factors into the mix, you will NEVER know.

If these things worked, why not give obese people a couple a day, bung them £500 to be part of the experiment.

If someone gaining a bit of weight per week, gained less or stopped, then they work. If someone whos weight stalled lost some, they work. Otherwise you get someone who lost weight to put it back on, then go back to the diet and exercise and not use Pills, to see if they'd made a mistake first time round.

Who would want to potentially gain clothes sizes, bloat, lethargy, lack of sleep etc etc? Nobody, so they'll kid themselves the product must have worked, in order to stop feeling hurt, about the possibility they wasted money on crap.

I saw someone saying they couldn't have lost weight with an Appetite Suppressant, because it kept them strict. That is rubbish, it's the persons lack of self belief that would have done for them. The ability to have self belief is not down to how your Brain works that much. Otherwise everyone with a Neurological condition, would feel like a total waste of space, which almost certainly is not true of how all such people feel.

Fat Burners are the biggest Marketing con ever, even moreso than Ab Belts. They are products designed by the vast majority of companies, to prey on peoples vulnerability, insecurities and fears about weight. People who lose weight without these products, are not some fluke of nature, they are not someone with some ability to produce a Chemical or Hormone, that people who use Metabolic Enhancers can't produce.

The only bad way to lose weight, is by doing things like eating 1,200 calories a day and doing 6 hours of treadmill a week. Unless your doing some kind of stage athletics comp, in which case that's a temporary thing, done by people in control and understanding of what they're doing.

Some say scientifically proven to work. Frankly, a scientific process might reveal, that the product might help you to lose 0.1% fat, but that's still something scientifically proven, but if such a product did that, who would use it as a selling point? Certainly most if not all companies tend not to reveal average figures percentages or numbers.

Thye also say can help you lose weight. Weight includes Water, muscle and Bone density, not just Fat. Most people wanting to use such products, probably don't think of this, they just think it means Fat. Weight loss to them relates to Fat only. Maybe the companies have to say Weight, because saying "Fat" in the descriptions, (I don't know this for certain), might be not permissible, incase some people do lose some Water or other things, as then they're being sold something on the basis of things it supposedly doesn't do, but then when have some supplement companies cared about truth and accuracy compared to sales figures?
