Help with exercise program!!!

Post by reece »

I need some advice, girlfriend just started gym, her aim is to loose weight and tone.

I've been going with her but not sure if I'm showing her the right weight exercises or routine. Could your shed some light on what, when and how she should gym?

I've looked for some forms but nothing specifies what training exercises she should do.

Thanks for your help.

ah, excercise, there are so many different ways....

lets start with.... what does she like to use in the gym when she is there? do you have access to free weights and a squat rack? What sports does she like to play?

How often does she and you wish to go and for how long?

what is the diet like? I strongly recommend she reads the diet and nutrition forum stickies, you also, there is awesome info in them!

cheers

Sorry for the late reply internet has been down.

She uses the cable machines for bi's and tri's,
Back: lat pull down:
Seated cable rows
V-bar Pulldowns
Shoulders: Machine Military Presses
Legs: sqats
Lying Leg Curls
calf raises
Thigh abductor
Legs Extentions
Leg Press
Cardio: cycling, orbitrech, tredmill and stepper.

All exercises are done 11 reps x 4 sets.

She does have access to squat rack and free weights. She goes on average 1 - 1.5 hours a day. As for her diet it's just low carb high protein diet with phedracut xt by usn and stimulant free also by usn. She only plays squash for the now.

Not sure if this is the right way to achieve her goals.

Thanks for your advice.

You can't go wrong with Les' advice, from what I hear her back is to die for ;) I Think a picture was taken of it and framed!

The only other advice I would push on you is check the diet and read the diet and nutrition forums and stretch after all exercise to keep agile!

Squats and Deads are the bomb!!! Pull ups and Chin ups too!

cheers
