Hi and welcome Hailey! I think you may know the answers to the questions you are facing. Consistency is key and the food you eat is just as important as the exercise you do. A key component in being successful with a good healthy lifestyle is a positive attitude and the willingness to make some sacrifices in order to achieve the goals you set for yourself. If exercise were easy, everyone would do it, right? If making better choices in food was easy, than the good old USA would not have the rising statistics of obesity. A lot of this I attribute to overly processed foods and a lifestyle of becoming sedentary versus active. A scarey statistic is, not only are the vast majority of adults overweight, 34 percent are obese. Seventeen percent of children are obese. Even 10 percent of babies and toddlers are too heavy, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data. That's enough information to scare the hell out of me and become proactive. Then there are all the false claims in advertisements with weight loss. A word to the wise, you cannot get 6 packs abs in 2 weeks, or lose a ton of weight effectively or in a healthy manner by buying it in a bottle of pills or some special machine. It takes hard work and dedication. How much time are you willing to put into it? What type of goals do you have other than weight loss? Do you have any pre-existing medical conditions that would prevent you from achieveing your goals? Is this a short term or a lifestyle change all together? Why do you only diet and workout for one day?
