broken wrist...
i broke wrist a few days ago... i have no idea what i can do now for exercise. helpppp?
Re: broken wrist...
Cardio basically
One arm is going to weigh more because of the cast, so any kind of Bodyweighted stuff you can do, will stimulate one side more than the other, preventing you from training symmetrically.

Re: broken wrist...
As a martial artist and trainer I have had several injuries to either a wrist (twice), shoulder (twice), and knee (once). Since its just a wrist you can still do lower body, cardio, and the opposite side of your body. The key is to continue to work your good side with a moderate work level. If you continue to train you will get a certain amount of cross over because your hormonal levels will not drop, this will speed recovery and you will bounce back faster than if you stop. We do this with our pro athletes.
If you don't train, your testosterone and growth hormone will drop some and you will lose motor units (2 muscle fibers, 1 nerve). It is easier to gain muscle size and strength back when your muscle fibers shrink then it is if you lose the actual units.

Training one side of your body will work, if you actually are not in growth phase. I did this following a hand injury. If you are in a growth phase wiht muscle, you will need to cut back on weight if you follow this methodology, to stunt the growth somewhat and prevent lopsidedness or dissproportionate sides of the Torso.
The muscle you lose on the side you can't train, will come back quicker, as the membrane surrounding the Muscle called the "Fascia", shouldn't shrink back, so the muscle will come back quicker, because there's no resistance from the Fascia.
You will have to remember though, that you might when you get back onto lifting with the currently unusable side of the Torso, have to use potentially less weight on one side than the other. This shouldn't really cause any balance issues.
If it feels like it will when the time comes, work one side of the body first, then the other, I.E. 8-10 reps one side, then 8-10 the other, as you can always use the free hand to prop yourself up with, on something like a rack or a wall,
