Thursday (10/21): Lord have Mercy! It's been crazy around here. Crazy weather, crazy schedule & crazy me :lol:. School is getting harder, kitchen is getting a makeover, youngest is taking his entrance exams for high school, they all have soccer games on saturday (different times) & sundays, etc, etc, etc. ...UGH! I'M EXHAUSTED! :( I need a very long vacation. I've been eating pretty clean. A mocha every now & then (for energy & to make me happy with all this stress :lol:) & workouts are getting done. Not as hard/long as they used to be, but almost every day. Yesterday was upper body & today I did lower. I also tried to do Yoga. Didn't work out. I'm not balanced, can't concentrate, not flexible & NOT working for me. Then, after showering, I tried meditation. WORST! I kept humming this stupid song hubby was singing. He hates the song, but he sings it anyways. Can't you believe it? He says it's catchy...Like I don't know :roll: :lol:. Oh well, It didn't work either. I really need long walks. But I can't. It's getting darker too early & it's really cold :(. I'm wishing for 70 degrees temperatures for the next few days. I NEED walks! Anyways, tomorrow I'm doing kickboxing in the morning & Hip hop abs in the evening. During lunch time, I'll be walking even if it's 0 degrees :lol:. By the way, halloween is around the corner. Got invited to a costume party on Saturday but don't know what to wear. oldest wants me to be a nun (all covered up :lol:). hubby wanst me to be a police officer :twisted: (I know what he wants... :lol:) & youngest wants me to be ANYBODY from family guy. What? who? why? Don't even watch the show. Don't know yet. I was thinking about a fairy or someone magical. Someone with a magic wand...a real wand! To make completely flat ASAP! :lol: Just Kidding. Hmmm.... :lol: :lol:

Tuesday (10/26): I'm back! OMG, I need a vacation ASAP. I find myself literally running every single day. Maybe is a good thing? As in a quick workout?? :wink: . No, not enjoyable. Don't have time to sleep, eat nor relax. But things will get better next week (hopefully). Will be having a few days off from school (YIPEE!) & kitchen renovation will be done. I've been trying to give kitchen a makeover. I started about 1 month ago (little by little) & haven't finished. deadline is Monday :D. workouts have been a little off cause I've been feeling very tired. But I'm pushing myself. Confession: Haven't been eating properly & haven't been writing on journal (food) :( . I get up very early, do 30 min. cardio, shower & I'm at the door. The only thing I grab from the store is the quickest thing (Butter roll & coffee) :oops:. In the afternoon, oven roasted chicken on wheat w/ water & full of toppings (lettuce, olives, peppers, spinach & light mayo) & 1 small apple. As a snack...grapes w/ low fat cheddar cheese & dinner: something quick. Today, white rice (1/2 cup) w/ ground beef & salad. I'm kinda falling off the wago, but I haven't gained weight & still getting workouts done (in less time), but done. Need to go food shopping NOW! (well, tomorrow :lol:). Nothing healthy in house :( . hubby has been doing the food shopping lately. You know what that means? Cakes, cookies, canned everything, full fat...UGH! need to clean up pantry. One more thing to add to to do list...UGH! Anyways, on a brighter note, school is very good, weight is the same, arms are looking tighter (carrying heavy books helps :lol:) & stiil manage to do a little workout in the morning & at night. Tomorrow, I'll have extra time. So, I'm planning to do kickboxing w/ weights in the morning & zumba video at night...just for fun. Hoping to get back to old routine with new v :D :D

Hey Everyone! Les & amatlack...Thanks & you guys inspire me :wink:. School is HARD work. I had forgotten about it :lol: You know, I used to tell youngest son "Common, school is not THAT hard. You guys have it easier than us..." Man, I'm swallowing those words right now. Better yet, I'm chewing them (make sure I don't gain an ounce :lol:) Just kidding! But it is an eye opener. Now, I'm extra flexible with him. He is LOVING me more now :lol:. He says: "Mom, why are you giving me extra time on the Xbox?" "So that you can relax..." :wink: . Sooo, quick review. Wednesday: Kickboxing w/ weights in the a.m., 2 mile walk @ lunch & zumba @night. Thursday: lower body w/ 10 min. Hiit jumping in the am, 1 mile walk (interval) @lunch & in place jogging @night (in living room). Wanted to do 50 minutes but I was too tired. :( . Friday off (went to a halloween party). Don't worry, got workout done cause I danced legs off literally. Next day legs were SORE (should keep working out in heels :lol:). Saturday, it was freezing. Kids played soccer in the am & in the afternoon, more soccer (I guess it was a "day off" for me :roll:). Sunday...FREEZING! However, I jogged in house for 50 minutes, went to hubby's soccer game (Brrrr!) & almost became an ice sculpture :lol:. In the evening, went to Halloween parade in NY....AWESOME! Yesterday, Upper & lower combined w/ 10 lbs weights in the morning & Zumba at night w/ 2lbs weights. Working those abs!!! Today...DAY OFF!!! I'm sooo happy. So, kickboxing w/ 2lbs weights in am & now, will do hip hop abs :D. Tonight, boxing w/ the kids (maybe even a little betting):lol: :lol: . Tomorrow, back to craziness & thursday...DAY OFF AGAIN!!! :D :D

hats off to you girl for not letting anything stop you from working out! :D Not many people have the discipline to jog in place, or jog inside their house for almost an hour. You show that it really is mind over matter - and if you want results then you will do what ever it takes to make those results happen. I applaud your ingenuity and willingness to try new things, finding a way to squeeze in a workout and doing it all with a sunny outlook and positive energy. I smile everytime I read your posts - your energy is contagious! :mrgreen:

Really great story! I read a bit through the thread and it was really impressive that you are able to still put so much energy to work out even though you are faced with so much stressy times. You are a great example for us all, specially those with kids :) Keep it going!!

Thanks verity 45 & fitoverforty for your great comments & positive vibe! Tuesday 11/9: Seriously, I had to look at the calendar just to remember what day is today. CRAZY. That's most used word for the past few weeks :lol:. Ok, Recap: Friday, I was about to pass out. son had a trip & had to be at the bus stop at 4 am :shock:. Now, I have to tell you that the day before I woke up at 7 & did compound workout for 30 minutes. At lunch, I walked 1 mile (It was freezing) & after a very loooong day, I had to go shopping, came home to cook, ran in living room for 30 minutes, ironed EVERYONE's clothes :twisted: (hubby & oldest were sick) & therefore, went to sleep @ 2am. When I came back from dropping off youngest son (5:45am?), I was feeling sick (dizzy & nauseous). Went to sleep without eating, got up at 8am & body shut down :( . No workout, no school, nothing got done. Next day (Saturday), I was still sick, had a slight fever & was puking all over the place. What a day!!! Sunday, started to feel better, so I ate pretty good, did homework, washed clothes & did 20 minutes run. Monday, felt AWESOME! Did circuit training video for 25 minutes (OMG! felt so out of shape-guess body needed more time to heal?) & at night, I did Jackie Warner tottal body workout video w/ 8lbs weights & 6 minutes Hiit jumping. Today, cardio only. In the morning, I ran in place for 30 minutes (too cold out), at lunch I did Hiit jumping at school (in the bathroom :lol:)(thank God nobody went in :lol:) & @ 8(after dinner) & did circuit trainig?? (along with the biggest looser show. I call it circuit training because whatever I see they are doing on tv, I do own version but fast & short. By the time they are done, I've had own "last chance workout" :lol: :lol: . Now, about to seriously pass out...kidding. Tomorrow, Jackie Warner's core video in the am, Hiit running in the bathroom (if empty :lol: :lol:) & dancing at night. Guess who will be watching??? :lol: :lol:

Hey Guys!! No, I didn't get caught :lol:. I went to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving. I was invited to a friend's wedding. I'm sooo glad I did. I was about to join the "nut" house :lol:. Vacation was very relaxing. I honestly feel like I took a few years off me :lol:. A few weeks ago, I looked in the mirror & started to see face age...SPOOKY! That's when I decided that it was either a mini vacation or a facelift :roll: :lol: :shock:. Very glad I did. Went to the beach (wore a black monokini) :D :D. hubby said I looked HOT. A few guys agreed with him in PR :wink: (let's not tell him...secret :lol:). He couldn't go :( , but I did & i had FUN. Did wall climbing, hiking ( favorite) & swimming. I also did some eating...OMG! Shame on me! couldn't resist the pina coladas...Lord have mercy!!! Thank God no alcohol (don't drink). Gained 1 pound. Not bad considering all the munching I did. But I also burned lots of calories! Proud of that. It was awesome! Very relaxing. No stress at all. Very peaceful. Did lots of dancing too. Wedding was beautiful! Ate turkey on Thanksgiving with veggies :D. Had a great time! Tomorrow, back to crazy routine & much needed workouts :D

Glad you had a good time Mami. Is puerto rico really pretty? I had the chance to go down there in the past but didn't. Now i kind of regret it and wished i would of seen it. Sounds like fun!

Hi guys! Have 10 minute break...finally! :lol: Puerto Rico was fun & beautiful. Lots of good food to eat :oops:. But I was very strong.... fitoverforty & Les looove your profile picture! Looking AWESOME. Sorry I didn't notice before :oops: . Confession: haven't done complete workouts for 3 days & not eating properly :( . Very stressed out, little time & VERY tired. So, today EVERYONE at home is giving me a "mom day" to do whatever I want. Guess what? I'm sleeping, relaxing, cooking meals for the whole week, watching ALL missed episodes of the Biggest looser & YES! I'll be working out while watching :lol: :lol:. guilty pleasure. Its just that for some reason, everytime I watch the show, even if I'm about to pass out of tiredness, I feel a sudden rush & start working out :lol: :lol: . family thinks its funny. One minute I'm half asleep (even snoring), next thing you know...I'm bouncing off the wall :lol:. CRAZY...I know. Anyways, plan for today is:
Already did: 30 min. run in place (indoor) freezing outside! , 4 min. Hiit (10 sec cool downs & 20 sec. (give it all you got) high knees)= 8 rounds. WOW!! 3 days of no real workout can really mess u up! At least, It did to me :shock:. I feel sooo out of shape. Anyways, I felt embarrased, but at the same time, good to get back. This evening, working on lower & core. Meals: so far so good. Loving oatmeal! I know why i didn't like it as everybody else did. I was doing it wrong! Mine was always lumpy. Until I went to PR & a friend showed me how. Now is creamy & heavenly...YUMM!. snacks: pineapple bit w/ cottage cheese (low fat) & later: grapes w/ cheddar cheese (low fat). Lunch: tuna sandwich on whole wheat & lettuce, tomatoes, etc. & dinner: chicken stir fry, brown rice & salad. after workout: protein shake. Well, wish me luck! This week is going to be brutal! end of marking period tests...UGH! Kids indoor soccer games start & trying to fit into this beautiful black backless dress I bought for New year's party :shock: :D. Have to! Love the dress too much. hubby is going to have a heart attack for sure :lol:. Not trying to get rid of him :lol: :lol:. Just want to see his jaw drop :lol: kids will have a fit! They are over protective.... I think I'm going to have lots of fun :twisted: :lol: :lol:

Wednesday, 12/8: Had a really good day inspite of the weather. It's freezing & windy. Almost froze to death this morning. Bought a coffee & by the time I open the little lid, It was cold. Seriously, not exagerating! Today, I was supposed to do cardio & core only, but since I didn't do enough squats, lunges & deadlifts yesterday, I decided to add them up to routine today :D I did: 10 minutes warmup (ran in place), then 3 x15 deadlifts, backward lunges, plie squats & forward lunges w/ 10lbs weights in each arm. Core: 25 each clams, crunches, mountain climber with torso twist, hip raise, superman, bycicle & figure 8. I also did 2 planks for 30 seconds each. Finally, 6 min. Hiit running & 500 jumps. In the afternoon, I went up & down the stairs at school 20 times. It was a very nice workout. Little embarrased cause people are looking at me like crazy :oops:, but I smile at them & use the weather as an excuse :wink: . Last night, I watch the biggest looser. Since they were doing the marathon, I did own marathon too :lol:. I started as soon as last week's elimination was shown & ran till the end of the show. It felt very good. It wasn't 26 miles, but it felt good & all in the comfort of own living room. Afterwards, I had cookies & cream protein shake with water (triple YUMMY!), showered & off to sleep I went. I was beat! Tonight, I played last night biggest looser again (I recorded it) & ran the entire show again. This time, I did inetrval running. Every time I they show the miles, I would run faster for 30 sec. & when their friends/ family joined in, I would jump 100 times. shirt was dripping in sweat. I felt very good & very proud...cause I was ready to hit the sack.
