Gain 15 lbs in 15 weeks, possible?

Post by tripledrewsoul »

I have a goal to gain 15 lbs in 15 weeks of muscle gain. First, is this possible? I understand the strict diet of protein that I will have to intake throughout goal, but am wondering from anyone that if this goal is even possible? Also, I am trying to lose the fat off face/, while reaching goal... Is it possible to both?

Anyone have any meal suggestions for this? I already have diet journals & exercise journals ready to go for Monday.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

Basically no it's not. Even Steroid users could only get probably 1lb of muscle, in about 2-3 weeks.

I would suggest though, that you don't fall into the trap of increasing calories massively. Many do this, thinking they need to eat like big bodybuilders, when in the early stages themselves and they don't.

All this does is create a big caloric excess that converts to Fat. In time the excess gets smaller the more calories you need to build, but in the end, you'll have a harder time trimming some of the body fast off, as opposed to keeping it off in the initial instance.

There is a way I feel you can taper the calories gradually.

So if you're eating 6 times a day, eat another 300 calories a day, using either of the two methods.

1. 5g Protein, 5g Carbs, 1g Fat extra per meal, (49 calories).

2. 5g Carbs, 3-4g Fat extra per meal, (47 -56 calories approx).

I'd go for the first option initially and give it a few weeks, until you plateau. Then add another 300 calories in and so on, until you're eventually around 3,800-4,000 or so.

You would only need to go to around 1.2g Protein per lb of bodyweight; 1.5g max, so if you think you'd be exceeding that, then go for option 2, with one or more increases.

This method will allow you to stagger your calories as and when required, so you cut a lot of excess conversion potential out, by significantly reducing the possible excess that could happen, if you ramped up the calories big time.

You need to remember, that some big guy eating 4,000+ calories a day, needs those, but a guy who has been lifting for a while and weighs about 150lbs or so, doesn't, so if you eat smarter, you'll avoid any potential bits of pooch fat and / or Gynocomastia later on, that will be tricky to amend.

hi
In point of view this target seems to be unachievable. There are many people that can advice you to use different type of steroids but keep it mind that steroids could leads you to a serious heart disease.Don't lose hope.Keep yourself motivated and try to increase the diet that can really increase your weight.

I'm in the same boat in that I'm trying to gain muscle (preferably as efficiently as possible). I don't really need to lose any fat but I'd prefer to gain as little as possible. I started at 145.2 and recently upped calories to about 2700 (not including pre- and post-workout food on workout days) from about 2200-2300. Three weeks in I feel workouts are better, I feel more energy and I can lift somewhat more but I still weigh only 145.6. Pretty slow going. I think I'm going to up calories to about 2900 - 3000 or so and see how that goes for a few weeks. I guess what I'm trying to say is something similar to Boss Man. Better slow going and not gaining fat than trying to go too fast and gaining excess fat. Good luck to you!
