Here's one of many important reasons why you haven't lost the weight yet and have trouble keeping it off for good...
Treating a weight-loss program as a quick and not a long-term commitment.
That word "commitment" is scary for a lot of people. That's because the word "commitment" is a fancy word for "work". Most of the time we're impatient creatures and we want things done NOW and as EASY as possible. This is particularly true when it comes to weight-loss. You want to lose those love handles NOW. You want gain 15 pounds of muscles NOW. You want to have a six pack NOW. Etc, Etc, Etc.
I'm not saying it's not possible to lose weight quickly...I've actually done it before and know those who've done it too. The problem is it doesn't last, because whatever crazy training regimen you went through to lose the weight quick, your body will have to compensate for that. It's only natural.
For example, I was able to lose 30 lbs in 3 months doing 6-days a week of 2 hr exercises. Still working day job, eating less, AND taking fat loss pills. This were times when I didn't know any better. The result, I lost the weight and I looked good...but I didn't feel good. I was tired all the time and because of over-training, I didn't workout for months, and I missed eating more ( I ate way too less then). I also stopped the fat loss pills because first, it got too expensive to keep taking them and second, you're not supposed to keep taking them. After all is said and done, I gained all the weight back and then some because of a lack of activity and over-eating to COMPENSATE what I've missed during past, hardcore training.
So what I've learned is that weight-loss will always be something you should MODERATELY achieve. It should gradually change you, not quickly. "Commitment" should equal "Moderation". It'll still be work, but it'll be more realistic and it'll allow you to continue and maintain your physique and health; as opposed to giving up.
Do you agree?

i agree. losing weight should be moderate. they say that ideally you should lose a pound in a week.
