Im back! And pregnant.

Post by clare_1 »

hello there and happy new year to all old friends and any new friends also. Its been a very long time since I have posted and Ive really missed it on here.

Quick update - the other half grew up and we have worked through our crap. Im still nursing and all is good there. son is happy and healthy and we moved house before xmas. And.. you guessed it, im pregnant. 16 weeks and already have a lovely bump. Ill try and post a pic.

I had put on around 6 pounds before getting pregnant due to holidays etc and have obviously put on a bit more now. Think im around 130lbs. Im quite happy with how things are going and I stayed in fantastic shape when i had son 8 years ago.

However I had awful nausea and tiredness right at the beginning this time and lived off takeaways and general trash as its all i could eat and now I wanna start getting back into good habits. I also did pretty much no exercise for around 6 weeks ( the longest in 12 years) and am just about getting to doing 2 days a week. Im finding exercise harder and start getting a stitch in stomach after a while. Im not doing half what im used to but its better then doing nothing.

I would like any tips and exercises, diet ideas etc for pregnant women and wonder if there are any other yummy mummys on here :D

(I'd include something else in there like Chicken, Ham, Eggs, etc etc.)

(I'd add something else in here between breakfast and lunch, like Peanuts, Low Fat Cheese, small sandwhiches, Chicken and Berries etc.)

lunch - ham and cheese salad on wholemeal bread + yogurt

(Fine)

afternoon - couple satsumas and maybe a snack size choc

(Maybe consider adding some more Protein in here, as that snack doesn't look overly filling, especially as it's not very caloric.)

dinner - chicken caserole (general example - could be beef, pork etc) with potatoes, sweet potato and lots of veg

(Good, though you may want to be a little careful on the Potato and Veg incase it's a bit too mcuh Carb)

supper - cheese spread on a slice of toast or some kind of cereal

(Fine)
LOTS OF WATER!! :D

Yes, I forget to mention that in previous posts.

You are a wonderfully warm and caring person Claire. Your Son is lucky to have you, so I'm sure your new child will be just as lucky.

Good luck and don't forget the power and influence of YOU. It's pretty amazing :).
