Breast Concerns During Fat Loss.

Post by MissJenaKay »

Hello lovelies,

I have a really awkward (for me and possibly for you as well) question. When a woman that is very large breasted loses weight, obviously her breasts will decrease in size, however, if her breasts were large and heavy enough to create mild sagging at her original weight, is there any way to get rid of the sagging as she loses weight since she would be losing the fatty tissue in the breasts, would the skin shrink along with it? This is a really bad concern for me, and I know it’s a stupid concern, but I’m terribly, terribly afraid that this could happen, resulting in me being extremely self-conscious about breasts. As a bit on an idea of how large I’m talking, I’m a size 40D/DD (Depends on the bra shape and type). I feel extremely embarrassed asking this, but I figure that the lovely helpful folks of these forums might know something about it. I tried to do work figuring it out, but all it would say is that the breasts will decrease in size (which I already knew). Thank you all for your help and I apologize profusely for any awkwardness this brought about.

Thanks a lot,
Jena Kay

Jena, I'm not an expert on this but I would expect it all comes down really to genetics, your age, how much weight you lose, etc. and how your skin handles weight loss not only on your breasts but all over your body. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. The advantages of weight loss far outnumber this issue. I understand how you feel but you definitely have youth on your side. :)

I may have youth on side, but I'm already highly discontented with how not perky breasts are and I would absolutely hate to see it get any worse. biggest concern with this is that I don't want to be so happy about the new body I built but absolutely hate chest because I have a feeling I'd get just as miserable about that as the body I have now. :/ :/

That's one thing I dislike the most about this whole losing weight thing. I don't want to lose breasts. And I'm terrified of them ending up looking worse. :/

Sadly enough. main concern is not them getting smaller, but appearing to sag. I should not have the breasts of a 40 year old at the age of 18...

Haha. It's not like I can just be like "poof" and have a kid. XD

I've always wondered about that myself. I have a coworker who lost a TON of weight in too short of a time, and he ended up looking sagging around his face and it looks gross. I myself am losing a litle weight (slowly, but I'm not worried; as long as I'm losing), and I'm doing this simply by changing diet and exercising. And I see NO sagging. I notice that breasts are getting firmer and are sitting up higher (they've always actually sat up high, even though breast size is a 42D/34DD. If you give your body time to tone your skin, then it shouldn't be a problem. However, if you lose it too rapidly, then you'll probably have hanging breasts.

I wish I were so lucky, breasts have never been perky or sat very high. It's really depressing... :/

I understand the way yo ufeel, although situation is different. body doesn't want to lose fat from where I'd like to & is slowly eating away the fat in breasts. I honestly lost a lot of fat around that area and I am starting to have some sort of complicated image of myself. *sigh*. I love how body finally turned out in total, but I don't know if there is anything I could do to gain some fat there - what foods to eat, or the like. I did some reading on the matter, they mentioned a number of vitamins and minerals to help growth, firmness..etc, but didn't come across "foods" as such.

Any suggestions will be awesome.

I hope it turns out the way you want it to, but in reality, we have to lose something to get something else in return.

Oh sweet! GOOD to know. Lol. So chest will grow again eventually. If I put a lil fat, i see the difference, but I also see it in stomach. So I either look flat all over, or meaty all over in top body. Im sure special somone wouldn't mind!

Ok, so I lost 3 stone (from 12 to 9 stone) over 18 months and boobs went from a 38 D to now a 32 A. Your boobs go before your stomach, most girls find i think! Now, I've never been concerned with them getting smaller - like yourself - but was also worried about the inevitable sag. And, mate, it is inevitable, I'm afraid. They're not terrible, but they are a bit loose. And i'm still rly young too, so I get the 'young girl - saggy boobs' terror too! However, you gotta think, you're gonna feel so good about other bits of your body once you lose that poundage, and also, there are so many great bras these days that you do not need to worry about it AT ALL unless you're naked. Seriously, once I put these sagsters in a bra, you cannot tell at all that they're not perky.

So just keep at the weight loss and focus on how great you'll look once the pounds start sliding off! Have fun selecting new and wonderful bras for your new and wonderful body

I almost think I'd rather stay chubby and keep breasts than lose them. It's the only feminine feature I have. I'm not losing them. D: I'm honestly prett sure I'll never have a "wonderful" body. I've got very thick bone structure and I put on bulky muscle very easily. I'm too manly to be okay with losing breasts. So I'm about ready to say dieting and losing weight if I'm going to lose chest.

Allison :: I'm judging by the fact that I can feel ribs and hip bones, and sure, I'm gonna lose some size around them, but there's not a whole lot to lose off them. Also, if chest stay large in proportion to body, like how it is now, I won't feel so miserable about losing chest. But there is honestly not really anything else that's feminine about me. And being that they are the only real womanly attribute I have, and the fact that I feel like I'd look like a dude without them scares the hell out of me. I don't need to be losing the only attractive assets I have. :( :( I'm also horribly terrified of the sag factor. I'm self-conscious enough as it is, I don't need to feel any worse.

Les :: Wha?
