I'm great - I haven't been on much this week because of a crazy schedule, but I am still around
I'm excited for the three of you doing the triathalons - makes me want to try it!

Awesome time for the 3 miles! time is still over 30 minutes, and I hate every minute of it with a passion.fitoverforty wrote:todays workout:

What? A little ole' winter blizzard is gonna keep you from getting out for a run?EdgarHF wrote:Because of the blizzard here I will be confined to the dreadmill myself for a few days.

Thanks! I'm planning on it.Athene wrote:Keep on truckin' : )

I'm sorry you don't like it. Is it just steady state running like on a treadmill you don't like, or is it just any running in general? It's definitely not a favorite thing for everyone. I've been running for 30 yrs. - it's a passion for me....or a sickness...Athene wrote: time is still over 30 minutes, and I hate every minute of it with a passion.

If your not out of your mind yet, you will be out of your mind by the time you leave the store.

It was mayhem....pure mayhem.
But we made it out alive - and I scored some cool running tights on sale for $5.00!! Complete with cool reflective strips winding around the calf.
I think I will look bada$$ in them (if only in mind).
Got some Atheno's plain greek non fat yogurt with a little side tray of strawberries - it was only $1.00, hope I will like it. I tried the Dannon greek yogurt last week - yuck. I like the Fage plain non fat - and of course they were out of it today.
Apparently everyone else discovered it too. dang it.
Could not wait to get out today for run. It cleared up today, no rain, all the ice melted and it was 56 degrees and sunny when I went for run.
Today's workout:
5 mile road run.
Felt incredible, strong, breathing was good. Kept a good pace, picked it up in places.
Now for the bad news...about 2 miles into it, I started having a searing pain across the top of right kneecap. I tried to change up stride, slow down, change sides of the street, nothing was helping, so I had to stop and walk a bit, stretched, started back running, but it would just grip me - I kept thinking "what the hay?" Then as strangely as it came, it went away and I had the best run EVER. I felt fast, breathing was good, pace was good - felt like I could run forever.

Awww..sorry Edgar!! I know how it is to be stuck on the dreadmill. Hang in there, it will get better soon. How long does winter last where you live?
This should be the last month we have icy/freezing cold weather. Usually we only have about 2 weeks in Feb. where it is really bad - and by really bad I mean temps in the teens, and a bit of ice and if we are lucky a inch or two of snow.
Then it starts warming up during the day into the 50's, 60's and down to the 30's at night.
