Diet Plan..is this sufficient energy food

Post by shellies78 »

Hello all,

I'm 33 years old, 5'7, 194 pounds (I lost 9 pounds in the last month). I'm happy about the weight loss but I'm also a bit concerned that I'm doing it the right way and not putting body into starvation mode or something. I want to lose the weigh healthfully.

Here's a typical day:

AM: Coffee with tsp of creamer, Fage Greek Yogurt with some berries and cinnamon
Mid-morning snack: Protein Bar or small handful of mixed nuts
Lunch: Chicken Breast with salad, low fat dressing like Balsamic Vinaigrette
Snack: Apple or orange
Dinner: Lentil soup with slice of whole wheat bread
Workout
After Workout: Whey Protein Shake

Do I need more protein? I read somewhere that you need half your weight in protein daily. If so, should I just drink more protein shakes throughout the day?

Thanks!
Shellies :D

You could go in for protein shakes but i would suggest you start eating egg's . Egg's contain a lot of proteins , Vitamin D and a lot of essential acids which are vital for the functioning of the body . It also promotes healthy hair and nails . Add 1 egg to diet or you could take fresh juices as well . :)
